Come by train. Just outside railway station,there is Khm taxi stand... Cost about ₹350 ish? Then take a taxi again from ISBT (will cost ₹350-500 but ÷ it among your friends) to thr nearest hotel.
I don't think shared taxi will be available upto the homestay. You'll get shared taxi only upto Kohima. From kohima you'll have to book private taxi. For any query you ask the homestay owner, if you book this homestay. He is very helpful person trust me
