While I’ve only taken mine out once for a small afternoon session, I must say, I am truly impressed by this reel! For a reel that comes in at only 5oz, it is remarkable and capable. The size suggests that it would be more of a finesse type reel but this thing can handle anything you throw at it! Bates really hit the nail on the head with attention to detail! It won’t be for everyone and some may not see the value in it but it’s something that those of us who appreciate high quality workmanship will make great use of and find a lot of enjoyment using! This video brings up a big question mark regarding mentally preparing. Please make a video regarding the jitters and how you mentally prepare yourself before a comp cause i personally struggle with it and shit the bed as jitters get the best of me. Thanks for the video
Being a shimano man I would have to say the shomano Slx. However for 1k the banax ionix on paper is unbeatable.... it has an aluminum body and is super lightweight....so all depends on application. But with shimano you know you will always have reliability. Another super solid reel is the diawa Fuego...but I think that a smidge over 2k now
