I really like the clover ones and I can do them one handed. I think there is a special spot to push on the top to easily open and close the pin. Thank you for the video.
You're probably right. I think it would just take some getting used to before it became second nature. It is really cool that you can do them one handed.

Hi Chantelle, (hope that is spelled correctly) I saw in an earlier video you were using the clover pins (which I have since bought). Do you use both the plastic top clover pins and these pins with the plastic tops attached? I had bought those plastic tops in the past and couldn't figure out how to use them, so I threw them away. A video on how to attach those tops would be very helpful. Which pins do you like best (clover or curved pins with added plastic tops)? Thank you for the helpful videos.
You did, thank you. 😊I got a pack of those clover pins in a sew sampler box but I haven't tried them out yet. I was actually planning to do a side by side comparison so thank you for the reminder. I'm sorry to hear they didn't work for you. Now I'm really curious myself though. We're doing back to school this week but I'll try and record a video for that as soon as I can get to it.
Perfect volume - issued resolved; thanks! Great tutorial - I think a short technique video would be handy. What is the longest length of pool noodle that you have used? I'm usually dealing with a quilt top that is between 62 1/2 to 80 inches wide. I love the Kwik Clip tool and find it works well with regular curved safety pins without the top too - but that plastic top is so easy to grab.
Oh good. Now I just need to remember to adjust the volume this high going forward. Sadly I think the video for today I edited before this this one so it might be a bit lower than this one. I use the giant pool noodles from Cabela's. They are 70" long (I bought the 7 pack for $50). Those are the longest I've been able to find. For a very large quilt there is still a little over hang. You could potentially use an extra noodle to cut up and add length to a longer one. You would just need to figure out how to connect them them.
Maybe you bought an extra Q-Snap for your kids to use? They probably use a hoop though...tiny hands. 😊 Oh..I look forward to hearing about the soft n stable and how you like it for project bags. I want to make them, some day! I have that tote, too! 💙🩵 Cuuuute 🍓 quilt pattern!

Awesome haul, Chantelle! I love Elizabeth Hartmann patterns, too. You don't have to make the whole quilt, you can just make a one block or a few for tablerunner. I am excited to see more variations of your project bags. I still have to make one. Hopefully, I will make one soon. I thought of you when I purchased preet strawberry fabric at a quilt shop while vacationing in NH.
You are so right. Those birds in particular would be really cute as a table runner. I'm glad you're excited to see more variations. I need to sit down and plan it out but I might not get to it right away. I've got a lot of videos planned out that keep getting pushed back. I love that strawberries remind you of me. 🥰
Love FQS! Are you going to stich along with the Home Town Holiday cross stitch starting in September? I'm using the floss pack along with 14 Count Aida "Natural" - I don't think I'm ready for the called for fabric - stitching 2 over 2 still seems a little intimidating. Is it possible to adjust/increase the volume of your videos? It may just be me but I have to turn the volume way up; I've never produced or posted videos so I have absolutely no idea what goes into the process. Thanks!
Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure what is going on lately. It's like my volume keeps going lower in each video. I'm going to try and remember to increase it on each video as I go. The home town holiday looks like a lot of fun. I'm planning to do the Lori Holt snowman one though. 2 over 2 is a little challenging. I've done it once so far. It just takes getting used to though. ☺
Dragon and turtle are my faves! What do you do with them when you finish them? Most of the ones I have done are odd sizes so I have been unable to find reasonably priced frames
I still need to work on the framing thing. I know if you have difficulty with size you can use a mat to help it fit in a more normal size frame. I've heard there is a website that does custom frames affordably as well but I haven't looked into it yet.
These are lovely - but would make my eyes go crazy; super fun for a beginner though except the big one might be a little intimidating. I appreciate they include everything you need! Would love to see some of your other finished projects! Have you made any pillows or framed your cross stitch pieces?
They actually aren't bad to look at. My biggest issue is remembering to look up from time to time and focus on things at a distance to give my eyes a rest. Oh goodness, I have a stack of cross stitchings that I need to do the finishings for. I've been procrastinating. I think I'm nervous I'll mess them up which is really pretty silly. I need to just get to it.😅

Chantelle, I tried the colorful safety pins you use to sandwich your quilts and I really do like them much better than the curved safety pins. I will slowly add to my stash of the new pins until I have enough.

I love this one and ordered it! I love lighthouses! I sorta still want them all! I actually ordered it via your FQS link! And of course I had to add all of the floss and a few other things! 😉🩷 As for the audio, the music is very loud and you are soft spoken. So I think what happens is we turn it down due to the loud intro and then can't hear you well unless we turn it up. That is my take on the audio for your videos. Maybe lower the intro and closing music? 🍓
