In mid 17th century London, you could go to a coffeehouse, grab some coffee for a penny, sit for hours reading or conversing with other patrons discussing a wide range of topics. Aptly, they were coined as “Penny Universities” because it was akin to academia but only cost a cup of coffee. This was also one of the few places where people of various social classes, skill sets and backgrounds could mingle.
Paris and Vienna were no different. These coffeehouses operated as a cultural hub where intellects could convene with the idea of having polite, honest and civilized conversations.
Travel to any place and you will see that coffee and culture are inextricably connected. For the purpose of relaxing, learning and connecting with like minded individuals. Here at Coffee N’ Culture we aim to continue the spirit of these coffeehouses. It's a place for anyone looking to share great information as well as learn.
That being said grab a nice cup of coffee and join in the conversation. Enjoy!

Years ago people commonly made fun of how silly Mike sounds when he speaks. But he’s clearly superior to most of us intellectually, and he’s very much a philosopher and scholar.
The ring that King Solomon requested from a jeweler has the quote ‘this too shall pass’; When he told the jeweler he wants a ring so that when he’s sad it can make him happy and when he’s happy it can make him sad. The jeweler waits a second and tells him I have the perfect ring and gifted him the ring, King Solomon then replies this is perfect!
Connor running for president was just like the other characters becoming CEO. The other characters had the same chance of succeeding Logan as Connor did of getting elected. The other characters failed to realize how much they were like Connor.
Great point, that was what was so great about the show. Though the characters may basically be doing the same thing, they did it in a way that fit their personalities, whether competing for Logans love or against each other.
It is 30 years since a deal was made to create rap culture which produced Sexy Red, Diddy or Drake so it was about time a Prophet reminded MC's what rap is trully all about....
Just like slaves sung songs of freedom we doing the same but instead of being free rappers iimprisoning they own people so if you dont understand what music is and what it does you should stfu and if you stupid say that
It’s crazy how few people understand the influence of culture on our lives and how art has always shaped culture through our history. Kids out hear popping pills and thinking it’s their own choice
I don’t really give a shit what it does to and for them, or what it means to them, we gonna drop a hard ass beat, say some words they like, have the beat carry the song, boom make a whole lotta munyun
Mate its music not everything is a protest that is one niche of the culture most music is self expression including alot of his music that isnt impactful but playful or expressive even in hip hop regardless of its roots this is such a dogmatic perspective.
thats precisely what hes saying tho, music is as much self expression as religion is, and is often just as important. playfulness isnt something to take lightly, the personal version of a persons playfulness speaks to their lived experience, their values and their vision for the future. all that is felt through music, whether we like it or not
@@TheOne-pn8bdYeah. The type of music that people listen to does/will have an effect on them. Just like the type of food you eat will have an effect on your health.
Its also akin in a different school of thought, to detachment and watching yourself. As Eckhart Tolle has written about, watching yourself and becoming the observer of thine self, it actually helps deal with situations a lot better. particularly, a lot less "involved"
