It is definitely the best on the market. I've heard that. I've had 4 and had a few issues on my first trailer. These last two did not. I think they are improving some things trailer wise, but I get that.
Hey Johnny. I'm still in the break in period and haven't ripped in it yet. Once I do, I can let you know. Overall, the ride is very smooth. May be a tad smoother than PHX (even though it's same or similar hull) because of the wider front deck, it seems.
Thanks man, good luck in April! I don't have much more than what I did. I've only fished two events there before. It seems like it's won down the lake scoping humps, hard spots and such anymore. There could be a good shallow bite, too. I'd say if it's not blown out, that down lake, below the bridge stuff, should be good. If dirty, shallow bite could be real good in river and such, I'd imagine.
I've only fished there this time of year once, I think. Everything I did is in here. You'll probably have more bedding fish though. It'll depend on what you like to do. I split the lake up into upper river part and lower lake part. They fish slightly differently and it's all in what you prefer. Always some fish shallow on this river portion and always some fish deep on lower lake. Good luck!
The fist pumping moment of 15:43 is what we live for! 😎 I’d love to visit this lake someday, but until then I’ll enjoy your highlight tape. Keep up the big energy, bro!!
Great finish at Champlain I was routing for ya and watching you live on the final day!! I would love to see a how to video on fizzing smallmouth and taking care of them when they come from the deep
My local tackle store didn't have the cover shot hook but they had the owner down shot off set worm hook. I picked up 2 packs of the number 1 and 1/0. Have you ever used this hook before and would it be better than the cover shot? And do you like the normal mosquito hook or the mosquito "light"?
The down shot hooks are also a great option. Until the cover shot came out, that was the hook I would go with. The reason I switched is because you usually have better landing ratio on a straight shank. It's probably not a huge difference, but that's why I prefer them. However, the downshot will do you well too.
Using a long dropper line has helped me SO MUCH over the past year, especially in the later season. Nothing excites me like when that bait is swimming above the weed and a smallie comes out and smoke it 🤤
Good informative video man! We were fishing by you up in the horseshoe at Pickwick back in January, I remember my buddy reading your name off the side of your boat and not knowing who you were at that point! Keep up the good work!
@@northernillinoistrucksoutd462 understand your thought process. For me, getting on plane in 2 feet of water is my favorite function of my Bob's jack plate. It definitely affects speed when running by tweaking it, but best thing I like is that.
@@DestinDeMarion Where I live in Illinois there’s only one Creek I go up and that I would need it besides that most of the rivers and the lakes are fairly deep for takeoff I mean minimum 5 or 6 feet
@@DestinDeMarion That teaching gig has it's benefits with school being out for summer just in time for the Lake Erie spawn! Lol. I'm taking you up on that, love to get out and create some content and I can't imagine what I could learn from you!
Hey! Sweet boat. Was wondering, how do like that Yamaha on that Phx 21? Just wondering what kind of speed you're getting on a calm day. 😊 Any info would be cool. Have a great one!
Hey Tamara, thank you. I'm a big fan too! It's the second one I've run with a Yamaha and I wouldn't change it at all. Top end is 70-72 loaded down. It's not the fastest Phoenix model, but it's definitely the Cadillac ride of the options 👍.
@@DestinDeMarion That helps a lot. Thank you. Definitely prefer the Yamaha but all the PHX21's I've seen on RU-vid run a Mercury except for yours. Beautiful boat. We have a Phx21 on order (ready in 3 weeks).and find out this Fri if we can get the Yahama instead of the Mercury. Apparently, it's on back order right now. Fingers crossed! 🙏🤞 Your insight helps. Appreciate it. 😊
That is awesome! In my years as a co-angler I got to ride in about every boat there was and this one is the best in my experience. You guys are getting a great rig. Hope you can put the Yamaha on there too 🤞
A man who respects the buzzbait 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 - I’m also a fan of fishing them with fluorocarbon, too! I it’s a feel thing for me, but I believe it also has the perfect amount of give in the line compared to others. Keep on rockin, Destin! 😎
One of the most fun baits out there man. That's awesome you're on the fluoro train. I really don't have a great reason for it, but it works! Thanks buddy and tightlines.
When driving, yes it can charge your trolling motor batteries. I've got lithiums and they run the same strength from daylight to dark with this system.
