I love this radio especially its CW performance and thats why I know the radio in the video is a TS-570D and not a TS 570 DG the DG model has two extra DSP bandwith CW filters 80Hz and 150Hz, nevertheless I think it is an excellent radio even when its older than 20 years!
seems sound really good quiet on the ears too , tell you the truth it sounds like 18 tube hammarlund excellent audio on SSB my old icom ic 751 sure noisy shhhhh all time anyway nice looking radio too wow , nice ! thanks Tony ve4akf
hi. I am testing the ZZ-750 on my channel. Only 20 Watts of control power. Measurement on a 50 ohm resistor. There are also some other interesting movies.
I see the Boo Birds of (I know it all) and if I don't like it, it can't possibly work. I would guess the amplifier is working just fine. Looks good and I'm sure you did what you needed to do to get it working. Congratulations on the build. So many people just buy things having no real clue how they work. Nice to see people actually experimenting and doing rather than just buying.
In the early 80s, JA sent me a QSL card that showed the IC-740. At the time, he seemed to me the most beautiful transceiver. I still keep this QSL. A year ago I saw an advertisement for the sale of this transceiver. Nastalgia took her toll. I bought this transceiver. I was as happy as a child. It became the fourth transceiver in my shek. 73. Hi adi, is there any cheat sheets available anywhere for this receiver! I’ve seen something printed somewhere as to what all the function buttons do Example CMD+NB=POWER it looked like it was printed on a box?
Hello. A friend of mine who owns this machine told me that he has two problems. One of them is with his s-meter. If a signal near you is relatively strong and brings you 9 + 30db, the instrument "crazy" and instead of showing 9 + 30db the real signal, it goes to 9 + 60db. The second is with NB, which when you put it, then it starts and puts you, parasitic emissions from adjacent frequencies, in the one you are listening to. Can you tell me if you have noticed something like that.
I'm running a delta loop with all 3 corners up (horizontal) works great, but that little voice in my head just wants to try with one corner down and check its effectiveness! Even thinking of stacking one below the other half wavelength apart, we'll see! Good video thanks
Great video of the 480 HX! I’m going to use this video on my channel that helps people get into ham radio as well as those in ham radio to learn about great products like this. I will be sure to credit you as well as place your RU-vid channel link in the description of the video. All the best, Larry de K7HN
I built a HW-100 in 1971 while I was in the Air Force. It worked fine for several years before being replaced with a solid state rig. The VFO drive shaft reduction system was poorly designed.
