WE dont have these type of shops in the UK, very difficult to get VHS tapes in UK unless you use ebay, no car boot sales or anything like you have in the US
VHS...a waste of time and money...the tapes have a life span of some 15 yrrs or so a personal opinion...a very bad idea why do you think we went from that to something better DVD
my VHS tapes are still perfectly play and in great condition, most of them being rental tapes bought in the 80s, to think the amount of video machines my tapes went through, and still play perfect is amazing, its how you take care of them
It is a good idea to store movies in VHS, in the same way how contemporary Museums keep various items from Antiquity . But for watching a movie , the best choices are a DVD , Blu Ray Disc , or Online Streaming/Download because of the following reasons : 1) Easier to rewind or fast forward a few seconds here and there . 2) Easier to select a particular scene from the Movie and watch it .
If you are into metal music from the 90´s to late 00´s - this haul is great. Let alone some Metallica CDs which seems bootlegs - nothing so special or rare but amazing to find at 0.10 $ each !
This was really relaxing to watch. It kinda scratches that same itch of going into a used bookstore and never knowing what you'll discover, but it's got a warm and nostalgic feeling at the same time. All the thrift stores near me stopped selling vhs so I didn't know what I was missing, but I recently found some major gems in an area I like to visit and I'm hooked now.
I decided to grab A Time To Kill the other day because of the cast, I had never heard of it before and ended up loving it! You’ll have to keep an eye out if you haven’t seen it! Great video good luck on your searching!
Started watching your videos last week and no matter how many streaming services there are you still can't beat holding the item in your hand and knowing it's yours. Also it won't be taken from you like streamers do when they remove media from their services.
Here is a million dollar question. Why are you in 2024 buying vhs tapes📼 '? And don't get me wrong I grew up during the vhs tapes era. But I would not go back to the vhs days. Bc how easy the vhs tapes 📼 either broke or wear out & don't get me wrong vhs was cool for its time but now with the all the new tvs. I think it's not with buying vhs movies . But it is cool to see all the movies that wear release on vhs 📼 that still have not made the leap to bluray or even dvd
Well a lot of people are starting to enjoy old physical media. In the same way that people are going back and playing old game systems on crt tvs, or how vinyl made its come back. the vhs community is doing the same. I have older tvs I collect and enjoy my vhs on.
Great haul! Just started collecting CDs again recently, had a bunch when I was a kid and love collecting them, especially when you find them at random yard sales or thrift shops, way more fun than just buying them online. Great finds!
@@VHS_Nostalgia90sRap/Hip Hop, Rock and Metal mostly. Anything from Metallica, Alice In Chains, RHCP, The Beatles, The Black Dahlia Murder, Linkin Park, Lamb of God, Pink Floyd, Nas, Big L, etc etc. pretty much anything from those genres I’m interested in!
@VHS_Nostalgia90s I do actually. Im pretty new to vhs I started about a year ago. Before it was dvds and bluray. I have easily a couple thousand dvds/ blurays and close to a thousand vhs. Im turning half my basement into a video store essentially
@@VHS_Nostalgia90s no but I am friends with some guys who run retro physical media stores. I want to see your collection and I want to see how you display them.
I do agree with you with home alone, I did not like the rest after 3. Also, funny thing I actually started with home alone 3 too. You got some pretty good movies - a walk to remember, major payne, bulletproof, and it takes two. I do hate when they add stickers/write on the non clamshell tapes because the sticker either is hard to get off or when you take them off, they rip so I usually leave the sticker alone or don't get the tape
Great pick up with They, some decent comedies in there too. I haven't picked up any Vhs lately just Fire emblem Requiem for my Gba, and some Switch games. If you like army films you'd probably like U571 also.
Santa Clause The Movie is a good movie to watch! it tells a good story, it has great acting, and it made by the people that brought you superman: the movie (Christopher Reeve)
BeetleJuice! Just made a short with that on LaserDisc and then a VHS popped up a week later. With the film coming out soon it will spike in popularity again. You see it too I bet, the DVD has overtaken the VHS in thrifts, and the VHS is dwindling some. It is out there though. I have seen 4k ultra turned over into thrifts these days, the physcial media vs digtal streaming battle is real, value misinformation and evil streaming services. 4:18 Old School Disney BlackBeards Ghost Pre Diamond Era, I love my Disney 700+ Tapes 4:45 I love knowing that copies of Titanic surround us all and we don't even think about it. 10:38 Wow a PG style MASK, took out some of Cameron Diaz I assume LOL that is something less prints so more rare in my eye. Dawn of the Dead nice! Empire Records Is a gap in my collection, thank you for sharing the huntin' and the reminder!
