Some would say a pointless channel about my travels around the UK and Europe as a Truck Driver. The older videos are from when I was at PTM international driving a Volvo FH 500 and then a Volvo FH540. I have a couple from when I had a Scania R730 and most of the others are filmed in a Scania 650S. Some people find these interesting so have a watch and see what you think. Thanks.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Interesting & informative as usual. Poland is nothing like I imagined somehow - better roads & infrastructure. Thanks! Personally, I love these longer videos.

Your three blokes in a black car down a side street in the middle of the night might have been there for an "informal transaction" and wondering if you were the person they were supposed to be transacting with. If you ever do get cornered with a fuel nozzle in your hand you can always give 'em a faceful of refined hydrocarbons. Seen footage of it someone do it against 2-3 guys trying to steal their car, and it worked. One channel with a similar vibe to yours - calm experienced international driver sharing practical advice - is Lorry Diaries. She mostly goes to Spain.

Talking of making a clown of yourself. A few years ago I went into a large supermarket at Suwalki just before the boarder with Lithuanian to buy a few cases of UHT skimmed milk, for some reason you can't get skimmed milk in Estonia. Found an assistant , "I'm looking for milk", shrugs her shoulders. time for sign language. I put two fingers above my ears and made a moooooing noise followed by the action of milking a cow, by this time I am being stared at by those near me. She smiled at me and indicated I should follow her. Loaded my trolley up and as I'm headed to the tills I see the assistant showing her mate how I asked for milk and having a good laugh, And the Polish word for milk, mleko. Great vlog Pete, as you can they bring back memories.

At 21:05 into the vid. The articulated lorries used to take that rout as a little short cut into Barrow from the garage junction in the dip slightly before the junction coming from the Whitehaven direction . Brilliant Scenery.

Fantastic video, watched to the end. I would’ve loved to have tried European work but never got the chance when I lived in England. Moved to Canada 16yrs ago, drove US/Canada for first 6yrs and then quit driving totally. The only way I’d move back is if I was offered European work, which will probably never happen lol
