Lincoln Center Theater, now in its 40th year, is one of New York's favorite not-for-profit theaters, with productions at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont and Mitzi E. Newhouse Theaters, and other theaters on and off Broadway. In June 2012, LCT opened the Claire Tow Theater, its newest stage at Lincoln Center and the new home of LCT3 - a programming initiative established in 2008 that is bringing a new generation of artists and audiences to LCT.
I love the performances and also the engineering! What a superb recording session for these songs. Oh, also, the video is excellently shot, highlighting the perfect angle at every moment.
400 views and no comments, yet the algorithm won't stop pushing this video to me? Does that mean I'm personally getting a message from Steve Carell himself?? Hello Steven
Fantastic! I have loved Chekoff since college days, probably younger on PBS. I took 2 newbies in thier 20'es (Am in my 70'es)and they loved it too! I read a review critical of the translation ; the reeviewer missed Chekov's Poetic dialogue . I thought I might I feel the same but I did not al all! I thought the translation was fantastic as it modernized the langauge to reveal the timelss nature of the truth in Checkof , no matter the generation. I l oved the humor often missed in other productions (Inlcuding the Three Sisters production where I palyed Irena -U of Wisc) The play mixed comedy mixed with pathos especailly in the firwst longer act. The updated translation, brilliant actors and of course Chekov made for a magical evening!.
