Thin 100% polyester curtains are more difficult to shorten, because the fabric is very flowy and difficult to fold and iron press. To shorten thin polyester curtain length without cutting --> ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pvWSDnwdwJE.html
I think, for professional paintings and artworks store bought gesso is good. For a beginner, who is still in learning process, for various trials and errors, homemade gesso is cost efficient. And can make any pigmented gesso of choice. For personal DIY arts and home DIY projects very little amount is needed, which can be made at home.
Love the way the various media looks on the clear gesso. Great video. I'm a homeless artist 🎨 I have some cheap sketchbooks and was researching how to prep them for alcohol markers & wet media. Your video & demo helped so much! Blessings! 🙏
1 part starch and 1 part water is already a whole unless specified as a percentage or fraction, so what is the 2.5 part white glue relative to? the whole? or the 1 part of either the starch or water? or container cup?
1 in this case is a unit of volume, specifically 1 of those little cups. But can be whatever you want, like 1L is you are feeling abitious. Or that 347ml glass you got in a yard sale you are obsessed with. All your measurements are based off of that base unit, no need for percentag or specialized tools
@Sorryyyy769 ideally if you want the stuff to keep and not go moldy in the jar. If you are making a batch for immediate use, my guess is it does not matter if you use tap water
Thanks for the suggestion! I have not tried with crochet hook. I tried it with skewer sticks, it actually worked. But I personally felt comfortable doing it with fingers.
Interesting! I'm thinking about using calcium carbonate instead of the corn starch, only because I use it to make my own chalk paint. Corn starch might be smoother though so I'll try them both. Thanks for your video!! 🥰
