I'm driving a GT 1.9 jtdm. Daily driver. I love this car. Its 19 years old and every day it draws attention when driving to work and back. Try michelin primacy 4. You won't believe what big difference it make to any car. Thanks for video
Recently purchased a 2009 3.2 GT and honestly I can’t see the reason why you would take a 4cyl version with the prices on offer now. Not expensive for the driving enjoyment of the Busso!
Hi, unfortunately, due to the latest emissions. They've done away with the 2.0 diesel, so you will have to get the 1.5 Ecoblue Diesel. Bloody good engine, though.
Bought my GT JTDm blackline in 2016, still have it and still love it, some pretty major upgrades so far including LSD, Eibach anti-roll bars, hybrid turbo, mapped to 256BHp and many more. Have spent a lot and have more to spend, managed to get a set of adjustable sway bars and looking for adjustable tie rods for the front so I can lower the car and have camber adjustment to keep the geometry right. Ref the 159, they are, and feel it, a much heavier car than the GT, the GT does drive better. I was looking at Breras at one point but ditched that idea because of the weight. Also own a MiTo and a 166, both brilliant cars in their own right.
Looks clean underneath overall, nothing to worry about too much. I’ve heard people say the sills can go on these, because they are filled with plastic sound deadening material.

I had a lush British racing green 146 twin spark what a lovely car but what a bag of hammers, paid £1100 for it then it needed the head skimmed two weeks later the bottom end went on it totally gutted with that like proper shame because they are a lovely car to drive
My mother had a Rover 75 with the Honda engine in it, seems that was the best thing to do with them like, looks like a great day out probs see all you guys next year, love the Austin Montego i remember my Dad had a brand new company car one and used to drop me at school in it i thought i was the bee's knees lol
Ironic what you said about the 80 being dainty compared to the quattro - I own the 80 and the quattro is my dad's, going up in convoy it struck me just how little the quattro looks in the mirror compared to all the huge brutes on the road today
@@ContentCars There is an argument for that - the 80 is quicker off the line and it is an incredibly versatile car with good economy too. For a daily it is perfect except for the rust. That said tho, the quattro is arguably the original everyday supercar and I have come to appreciate why - just wish ours ran better
I was going to look at one last weekend,..2021, 13,000 miles and was almost ready to go until I researched the problems with that engine..a pity because I really liked it
I had a 1L ST Line X for 4 years and I never had a single problem with it.. So I've just bought another one but with the panoramic roof and B&O sound system upgrade this time. Brilliant car. It's people not getting their cars serviced regularly, that's the problem! 🤷
@@DaveMac0401 I was told the "wet belt" in the ecoboost caused a lot of problems and cost a lot to repair. Anyway the car has been sold..I'll just save up for another car. Thanks for your reply
@@theart8039 if you're buying from a dealership, they should be getting a new belt installed before sale anyway, plus getting a fresh MOT and service done for you. If not, I'd steer clear of that place. (no pun intended). Good luck on your car hunt anyway. 👍
Hi Dave, the ecoboost is like any other engine, in that it needs regular servicing done to the manufacturers recommendations. As long as you do that, you don't tend to get any issues. It won the engine of the year in its category for a reason. Just make sure the one you're buying has been well maintained, using the correct spec oil. Keep me posted on your purchase 😎
Thanks man! 😎 Yeah looking forward to making new memories in 2024. Plenty more Alfa footage to look forward to including a '2 Year update' video at the end of Feb!
Yeah, I would love a Busso, but the running costs are quite high. This is my first Alfa, the first of many, hopefully. Thank you for watching the video 😎
