Amapiano is a South African genre. However, another Yoruba Nigerian musician Niniola (who you should react to btw along with her sister Teni) started this trend 6 years ago of blending afrobeats and amapiano. This blend of afrobeats and amapiano is now called afropiano, which is the in sound now in Nigeria. Zinoleesky is one of several Nigerian musicians performing afropiano. Carnival is primarily an African tradition brought south american by black slaves. I gain a lot popularity in those countries to the point the it became highly celebrated national events.
