I've been planning on going to a summer camp next summer as a councelor(?) myself, and this is just confirming my choice 100x. with your attitude, i like that what you said was one of the best summers of your life wasn't in your teenage years. i'm at the halfway point of high school (usa) and everybody in my friend circle is freaking out that they haven't done enough, especially over the summers before they've turned 18. that feeling is only made worse by social media. it's such a strange and weirdly stupid thought, but it's nice to just have that affirmation that good summers are still possible after you turn 18 and graduate. it's something that people need to hear more. lots of love carys!!

What an enlightening video! I just finished my winter camp in Sydney a few weeks ago with a group of lovely people, before which I felt nervous about the unknown and another different summer holiday. But now, after experiencing the new things and meeting the new friends, what I want to say is CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL!!
For some reason this summer felt different. I'm 25 now but this summer kinda gave me the teenage carefree vibe, when we used to care less and lived life like a fairytale 💛

As a 26-year-old welsh girl who also grew up sheltered in the countryside, I can tell you that change will come in many forms, and often when you least expect it. My advice is to embrace these changes and learn to adapt, because that's where growth happens. At the same time, don’t forget to savor your youth. These years are fleeting, and they offer a unique opportunity to experience life fully and freely. Accept people as they are, and immerse yourself in the experiences that come your way. They will shape you in ways you can’t yet imagine. Interestingly, I also did Camp America-I was 21 at the time, and honestly, I didn’t enjoy it. But looking back, I realize how that experience, like so many others, played a part in my journey. The funny thing is, I can barely remember it now, which just goes to show how fast life moves and how quickly certain moments can fade. So, my biggest piece of advice is to enjoy this time in your life, because it all comes at you fast. Take it all in, even the challenging parts, because these moments will shape the person you’re becoming.
