My channel is dedicated to my parachuting adventures. Formerly an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper, I have found a new way to connect with fellow veterans and keep the airborne spirit alive. We hold events in honor of those who came before us and aim to inspire those who come after us.
After the training at X35 I received, and after the multiple jump events that I have attended, it is a goal of mine to eventually become a Jumpmaster as well.
How does this only have 2 views?? I’m only making this comment because this video deserves to be pushed out into the algorithm! Cmon RU-vid, PUSH THIS VIDEO OUT!!!
First off, love the Hellsing avatar, but the name of the aircraft is the Tico Belle. It dropped paratroopers on D-Day during WW2 and has been restored and is back in service for airshows, jumps like this, and was also used to help the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian. www.valiantaircommand.com/c-47-tico-belle
i recognize that giant X and tree field, you jumped at my DZ! that’s Skydive greene county! kelly told me about the jump for PWJ , i didn’t realize that someone recorded the jumps!
No, that's not necessary unless it's damaged or tarnished. Regardless flying a flag in this manner is flying a banner and its acceptable to touch the ground.
Terrible spot, enjoy the walk, what a great platform. Just imagine antiaircraft fire ripping through the skin of the plane, at night and several miles off the intended drop zone landing then moving under fire. God Bless the Airborne and St Michael.
I did that 50 years ago as a member of the 101st. Once out the door you just float with angels. Before I retired I worked with two guys that had be er n in the 82nd. One day one ask me if I would jump again if I had the chance. I looked at him and said in a hart beat. If you can run 3 to 5 miles a day and fallow basic instructions jump school is easy.
