Rubellan Remasters is a place for music lovers of late 70s/early 80s New Wave and Post Punk to hear long lost classics that have never been released on CD or are long out of print. Not only am I a fan of this music, I have also done professional sound engineering/remastering for labels such as Cherry Red, Edsel, Futurismo and Vinyl 180, and have made reputation in collector's circles for providing the best vinyl remasters around. At Rubellan Remasters, I don't just transfer a piece of rare vinyl to a computer, I spend hours fully restoring and enhancing the material. I manually and meticulously remove all surface noise, avoiding the pitfalls of automated noise reduction processes which can damage delicate parts of the music. Careful re-equalizing is applied to bring out sounds hidden deep in the vinyl grooves to provide a brand new listening experience. Sorry to inquire about this so late, but by any chance do you have anything extra pertaining to "Good For Your Soul" or "So-Lo" ? "Dead Man's Party" is another album I would inquire but you seemed to have semi-answered those concerns with "Take Your Medicine." I did see that you weren't able to get a tape from UMG relating to "Nothing To Fear," so I do wonder if this outcome also applies to "Good For Your Soul" and "So-Lo." I respect what you've done for the accessibility of Boingo's discography and wish the best for your future endeavors.
This original version is very similar to Fahrenheit. I much prefer the Mordor version. Has a better rhythm and feel with some great sound patches. Also, the background vocals are much better. I ahead thought this song should have charted higher. MTV seemed to play it in high rotation too.
First I’ve heard the original version. Although this sounds more like an unfinished studio version or demo. I find it interesting that John and David generally don’t care for Moroders versions of No More Words and Dancing in Berlin. Yet if you took his versions and added in TMBA, you have some really great pop music. I much prefer original Berlin (PV and LL) but I’ve always wondered what a Moroder produced Berlin album would sound like.

Incredible to finally hear this in release quality. The backing track in places reminds me a lot of "Disco Dancer" by Devo. I'm guessing the sequencing was maybe done on a Fairlight, which Devo was also using extensively around that time.

Depends on what you mean by "recorded under." All the members of Boingo are on it. The soundtrack version was released under the name Mosley & The B-Men (probably for legal reasons).
@@SirHatchporch Confirmed by Bartek recently that only 3 members of Boingo actually played on it, (Avila, Vatos, and Danny) and the rest were session musicians, including Ira Ingber who now works with Bartek in various solo projects

Yes this sounds like a trial mix to trial changing up the vocals etc which I guess was decided against. It wouldnt have ever been intended to be heard in this stripped down form.
