this video is a really good and explains on how to do it but for some reason I tried it and the object that I am using is red and it's saying that it must be placed on a specific object which I don't understand why.
I have replayed this probably a 100 times, following every single step, but I can't seem to get the light to shine through into the house. I have sledgehammered the room underneath the glass, tried placing the entire house on different angles on the lot, checked all my settings, but nothing seems to work. Somehow when I follow your other video I'm able to get the light to shine through the skylight, but as soon as I create a glass section for the entire middle part of the roof it doesn't work (unless I don't place the roof all the way to edge and leave part of it exposed). Ahhh so confused. Any ideas?
I do something similar, but I don't put a frieze on the top of the roof. The point of the frieze in older homes is to push water away from the facade of the home when it rains, so the water doesn't seep in and cause damage, so they're mostly just used under the roof where a gutter would hang on a modern home from what I've seen. I've never seen one with a frieze on the top like that too, but it looks pretty cool.
Also clear the cache folder, cashstr file, and online thumbnail cache. I do this everyday before I play and clear out 75-100 files. It does help the game run better. If you are looking around the gallery, you are going to have many files in your cache (can't remember which cache off the top of my head). If I spend a good amount of time browsing the gallery I have like 200 files in there. Another way to clear up lag is to clear the EA cache frequently and do game repairs semi-frequently. We all know TS4 is a buggy mess, it needs help to run on even the best computers.
If you click options on the extreme violence button, you can click disable cops, self defense and more! If you don’t see disable self defense click more! If you don’t want your sim to get tmurdered while using the extreme violence mod! ❤ I always disable self defense since I don’t want my sims being murdered☺️
There's extreme violence and then there's the psycho toddler don't do the psycho toddler I never had my Sims have to hide in their house behind locked doors

Sacrificial made an after death helper mod to instantly revive dead sims but unfortunately your selected sim cant be the dead one, it has to be a different sim bringing someone else back to life, they can't bring themselves back to life 🤷♀️.
