Marc was hired in 2011 by Roger Taylor to front the official Queen tribute band, Queen Extravaganza. In 2012, he was asked to do the vocals for the Bohemian Rhapsody film which was finally released in 2018. He did vocals where they had no recordings of Freddie or where sound quality didn't match today's standards. By then, Marc had left QE and formed his own tribute band, now called One Vison of Queen, which tours world wide. He also performs with various other groups (Black Jacket Symphony, Symphonic Queen, etc) as well as performing solo. He covers a ton of Queen music, also other artists and has his own original music. Very large rabbit hole. He is Canadian, based in Nashville. BTW - as others have said, it was Roger Taylor who sang that high note. Marc is perfectly capable of doing so, but give the guy a break - he just sang all of BoRap solo covering 4 vocal parts and a choir as well as mutliple instruments! Also he has stated that he would never wear the mustache or costumes, he finds that cheesy and it was also something Roger Taylor didn't want when he hired Marc.

His heard live range is G0-D8 and that's not his limit, however it's plenty at 7.7 octaves, what is most impressive is the control of his range, to drop or climb octaves without a noticeable transition. I always say he has at least 30 voices, the more of his music you hear the more you will realize just how phenomenal he is. And what you said is right, he is on another level and part of his abilities is a gift but the rest is hard work as he has studied music since the age of 5 years old as the youngest ever admitted into a prestigious music school. He took his gift and made it extra special by very hard work. He is finishing up his PhD currently.
He is classical and contemporary trained, yes you can hear some of the techniques but he definitely isn't opera specific, he has done all genres pretty much and he is just unique.
