The UK here. Ive just watched a comparable video about passing out in the Royal Airforce....it would seem that American personel have a very different take on marching. All of our armed services when marching bring their arms to shoulder height and then swing through. The arm must be straight out level with the shoulder, the hand is a fist and the thumb on top as the arm swings through.
Walked past this guy I think right after coming back from Camp Pendleton and all we could talk about after seeing him was "Damn I wish I could've kept my facial hair", India Company graduated June 30th 2023, I hope he's doing good
Hey Guys! Iv been trying to decided to join and this is helpful, but I’m 36 with no kids and not too much going on forreal….i really need to know is it worth joining from a real prospective….honestly I tried for the coast guard and failed the asvab but I really want to join and the after doin better research I do feel the air force is a better option I think. Any advice??? I swear I need it I feel desperate.
I'm British and I want to know why they can't march properly?? If our regiments marched like this they would get bounced!! I mean can you imagine the Guards regiments marching like this at Trooping The Colour??!! I think that the Garrison Sergeant Major might have something to shout about!!! Sorry but no one does pomp and circumstance like the British do!!! Having said all of that good luck to all young people everywhere who are joining the military...no matter where they are!!
seriously? (79-86). they threw the lights on with loud speakers Get up! Get up! it is now 0500! you have 5 minutes to make your bunk, & get out to the pad! What have they done to basic? This is like a candy ass walk, for pussy foots.I'm not in favor of integrated trainees either. It looks more like a high school march, than a spit & polished military formation. "Back in the day" if I would have seen it like this, I would have joined the Marines.
WTH is going on with these beards? Was that DS with a beard? I saw some DS's and cadre that look like they're out of tolerance of 600-9. It pains me to see this. I'm glad I retired in 2010 after 22yrs Active.
From what I’ve seen on other military channels, people are getting waivers because folliculitis/Pseudofolliculitis barbae which predominately affects African American men.

I was there in 1997 only as a guest already finished my boot camp in Great lakes,Chicago at Lacklond Air Force Base for my A-School for culinary arts qualification before entering the fleet on board the USS Carl Vinson CVN-70 stationed in Bremerton Washington along the Puget sound. It was really cool, because we were served by the cooks in the Air Force during my training. San Antonio Texas was a really fun experience and i am truly grateful for aquiring an education that I even use as a hobby to this very day.
