8:45 fun fact: you actually don't tap lion's eye diamond in order to activate it's ability! Unlike things like treasures, black lotus, and lotus petal, tapping is not actually a requirement to get the 3 mana from lion's eye diamond, making this combo work through effects such as manglehorn and dauntless dismantler that make artifacts enter the battlefield tapped. This can also be used with effects such as urza to get an extra mana.
Combo 4 is basically guaranteed if you cast Intuition and grab LED, Underworld Breach, and Sevvine’s Reclamation. No matter which card your opponent picks you can activate the combo provided you have enough mana and cards in the graveyard to cast Intuition again, after using Sevvine’s Reclamation to grab Underworld Breach. Intuition can then nab your Brain Freeze.

Here's a combo that might get insta-banned in Legacy and Modern: Have Strionic Resonator in play Cast Isochron Scepter Imprint Dark Ritual and Twiddle onto the Isochron Scepter at the same time due to Strionic Resonator's abilities Activate Isochron Scepter and have unlimited black mana due to Twiddle untapping Isochron Scecpter then use 2 black mana from the 3 in your mana pool to tap Isochron Scpeter again. Rinse/repeat for infinite black mana!!!!!

I remember Dreaming once running from vampires than I remember I have my reanimate deck :D Dark Ritual, buried alive, 3 coffin's burst from the ground, REANIMATE Garza Zol, Plague Queen queen, the coffin burst out like an explosion 2 blue eyes light up illuminating a face as Zol explodes out smashing one of the Vapire's to tree breaking the tree in half impailing the enemy vampire than shes gone next second she holds the other Vampire by the neck in her hand hissing at it and with a grasp the neck is dust like that vampire's crossing me in my dream :D

I genuinely think that counters shouldn't counter themselves out. It should still have a -1/-1 counter but it also has a +1/+1 so persist only happens one time
So, this is a different interpretation of the word "broken" but I've always loved seeing the expression on people's faces the first time they encounter Eye of the Storm + Shahrazad
I am old, so honourable mention to the Necropotence obscenities definitely would make it for me. Heliod/Ballista, Breakfast, and the all spells variants too (those seem more fragile to me but still very busted).

I have three of those tower ones that are harder to open and fit the 100 kind of tight. But I still like em. Bought each one at my local card store and I like to support them. They’ve been amazing to me so I’ll be happy to pay a little bit more at their store for convenience, not having to wait to have something shipped, and the foggy colors are still very pretty to me. I took the 3 pieces of the decks and swapped them with each other so now my boxes match the commander colors I have
35:08 I feel like the Drumbellower was the best choice here. Getting to use the millikin and master on every turn including your opponents' seems really strong
It's insane how even the most overpowered combos in Magic are very pedestrian compared to the things done in modern YGO. It's the reason why I wanna get into Magic one day and why I only play older YGO.
Just bought these two decks for 78 dollars, more than a year after this upload, so I guess the whole idea of prices dropping over time has completely gone the way of the rotary phone. Some of the prices go up to 100 for the set and buying them individually also costs more.
I was so sad to see that the general chat rooms in MTGO disappeared. Back when I was playing regularly in like 2010, it felt like a thriving community, like WoW, to hop in and see all the discussions going on. Now the only chatting going on would be if you already have friends on MTGO, or during games.
A little late to the game here, but I recently found fetch lands (even the lesser ones) to be very useful for concentrating a commander deck in the late game. They provide enough early land to not get behind the curve, but each one removes two lands from the deck instead of just one, reducing dead draws later on once your mana base is more established.
Exsanguinate and sanguine bond is an oops I win TPK in commander, and bruvac cacophony combo piece in the command zone and lots of ways to tutor for maddening cacophony make this a slimy sleazy combo
Probably not the most broken, but I've always been a big fan of "Duskmantle Guildmage + Mindcrank" combo. Especially because the way I discovered it was by inadvertently putting it in a deck, lending said deck to a friend, and then having them teach me the combo by abruptly obliterating my life total with it :D
So I am currently going thru the Master Duel Tutorials and I understood most of what was happening in the blue eyes deck, and the dark magician deck feels like a creature combo deck in magic where you basically press F6 and ask if your dead or not, so I understood there was a ton of synergies between dark magician cards, and the deck takes a ton of skill to pilot(reminds me of KCI).
for some reason my replies to yours arent showing up on the other response thread so hopefully this 1 stick ive no idea waht old modern jund vs pre treasure cruise delver is but blue eyes and dark magician differ in that blue eyes outside of some exceptions dont really interact with the opponent much as in they dont have counters or responses to opponent's doing things and tend to rely on their own built-in protection and massive stats to win games while dark magician is more varied in potential plays relying on carefully picking apart the opponent and having various removal to get rid of threats if not simply preventing the opponent from outputting a bigger threat then they can answer overall dark magician vs blue eyes exist here is because of nostalgia bait, both monsters were the signature monsters of the protagonist; yugi muto with dark magician where his deck focued on being flexible and being able to match against anything and his rival seto kaiba with blue eyes where he was raw brute force with drastically unbalanced strategies and tactics from the source work that spawned the entire franchise, they're opposites even down to the color theme of a white dragon vs black magician as thats the dark magician's original name in japan, black magician as in occult black magic but is likely changed to 'dark' to avoid possibly sounding like a racial description in english some good beginner decks that gets big monsters into play is swordsoul and/or dragonmaids, both known to be simple yet powerful at their core but can scale up into more complexity if the player so wishes by introducing off-themed cards into them resulting in hybrids e.g tenyi swordsoul or branded dragonmaid etc
