That's just the name of the equipment. It has existed for decades. It's super cheap and simple to build, was in every gym in USSR. Even had them at homes. In Russian it's called "Swedish wall" though, not ladder.
😂 just use a pull up bar attached to a door. Seriously if I wanted a ladder attached to my wall I would buy an ordinary ladder and just fix it to the wall. In fact I have a spare ladder and I think I will attach it to an outside wall.
you can find beams 36" or 48" apart put two-3 horizontal beams and attach the apparatus if they don't center with your beams, I just checked their site and the unit is 33.7 inches wide.
We also offer mounting brackets that will fit any type of stud spacing. Can be found here: www.fitnessavenue.ca/products/wall-mount-brackets-for-spacesmart-swedish-ladder-2-0?_pos=3&_psq=Wall+Mount+Brackets&_ss=e&_v=1.0
It's called a Swedish ladder, Swedish wall, or ladder stall. It is commonly used by gymnasts or ballet dancers. The rungs can be used to help with flexibility and other exercises not demonstrated in the video.
What size is the frame ? 3x3 ? Looks like a nice machine and the price is fair although it's currently out of stock. Storage in rear seems odd as someone else mentioned but not a deal breaker.
Sort of missed the mark with dual 132... at least get the stacks to 150 so if you go 1:1 and use both side tofether, you are pulling 300 lbs. A steange decision here
Thank you for your feedback! Just a quick note-this trainer can easily switch between a 2:1 and 1:1 ratio. When set to 1:1, pulling 132lbs means you're actually lifting 132 lbs (per side), which is a significant difference compared to many similar products that use a 2:1 ratio. Those often require larger weight stacks to compensate, leading to a much higher price tag.

Since the smith machine bar is in the back, can you bring a bench inside and do incline and shoulder smith machine press without the back weight stack getting in the way of the bench? Also is that a 2x2 upright with 1 inch holes? Would you guys ever consider a 3x3 smith/functional trainer similar to The Dane from Fringe Sport? Thanks.
Absolutely! You can definitely bring a bench inside to perform incline and shoulder Smith machine presses. The distance from the weight stack to the middle of the Smith machine barbell is about 23 inches. For optimal use, we recommend positioning the seat part of the bench facing the weight stack. This setup ensures perfect alignment of the bar and bench for your incline presses. Keep in mind that some larger benches might not fit with the long side facing the weight stack. While the SD-3000 comes with a 2”x2” upright and 1” holes, we offer the SD-4000, which features a 3”x3” upright for enhanced stability and functionality. @@fitnessavenue_ca Thanks! Would you guys be interested in sponsoring me? I'm in Toronto and would love to help promote Fitness Avenue products on my RU-vid channel. I've bought a number of products from you guys in the past and love your competitive prices and quality and I'll be happy to post honest product reviews. Let me know, thanks!
Love what you have done/are doing with this…A few questions. Height of this? (Many folks will have basement gym ceilings of 83 inches). Hole diameter? Can the low row and pull down both stacks (i.e. the 320 lbs) or just a single stack of 160? How far out will the cables go (i.e. cable travel) given the 1:1. (Love the 1:1 but is there meaningful sacrifice in cable travel). Do you deliver/service in Canada?
@@Spp235. Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it! Below are the answers: Height is 87" Hole diameter: 1" Weight stack of 320lbs can be stacked only when using double-end bars Cable Travel distance: 64" We deliver all over Canada and the USA. Love the connection of the weight stack to the Smith Machine! Also the ability to add additional weight plates to the Smith Machine as well. Aluminum pulleys are a big plus. Love the leg press feature and the knee holder pad attachment. A couple of suggestions for the future: 1) place the attachments at the front of the machine, not in the back. It seems annoying to have to go behind the machine to get the attachments, especially if the user placed the unit up against a wall. 2) I wish there were an option to switch the pulleys from 2:1 to 1:1, like available on other units on the market. At 2:1 ratio of 198 lbs per stack, that's only 99 lbs of resistance, not enough for some exercises (like seated rows) for some people . I know there's the option of purchasing the gym-pin to add plates to the weight stack, but other units on the market have larger weight stacks, so 198 lbs seems small, especially for more serious lifters.
Definitely worth considering! If you're interested in learning more about the SD-5000 or exploring other options, feel free to visit our website www.fitnessavenue.ca/products/amstaff-fitness-sd-5000-smith-machine for more details!
Looks we missed it! ☺ It features two weight stacks of 198lbs each! Weight stacks can be used with the functional trainer pulleys, but it can also be connected to the smith machine.
