Phil was actually a good magician, he could make anything disappear from people's braces to men in gorilla suits and left you scratching your head as to how he did it, especially on live TV, Debbie was also good, her clothes disappeared in every show, multiple times, usually as part of the act but not always part of the act, they were good at what they did, you can't knock them for that, this type of TV doesn't really exist now, variety shows, magician's, plate spinners, pickpockets, dancing dogs, ventriloquist, limo dancers, tightrope walkers, gymnastics, floor exercises, he had them all on his shows, all done without a safety net and no computer graphics, CGI or photoshop, the BBC should bring them sort of shows back, candid-camera also,
