@@nairyhipples thank you for replying! I figured out I'm an idiot, thought no help needed was literal like no helpful spirit but found out it's just reduced to 10%, thank you for the vid! My attempt failed 3 times today but I'll try again soon!
You said as soon as the white outline appears you can attack. Is that the white jelly fish or the box around it because on the video you put "attack now" as soon as the box around it appears? Thank you
What’s with the white tile to the East next to the webweaver start? Is that meant to be a walk tile to the boulders south East? I don’t think it’s actually a safe start without running, unless I am accidentally stacking two boulders on the first tile and that’s the key I’m missing here
Yeah you’ll have to run for that, I don’t remember there being enough time to move across. I just used the white tiles as click points tbh, just as the explosion was charging I’d run the last few tiles. (I also didn’t use that side much for boulder placement )
The most common way to die on waves is getting stacked put by blobs/ranger while trying to think of a way go solve the wave, or while chasing nibs The justi and bulwark is actually broken if it can (mostly) negate those deaths
Generally, they're definitely useful, but because overly draining is active in the invocation setup I used here, I wouldn't recommend it. If you're more comfortable with akkha you can potentially swap overly draining out for something else there and bring VW/BGS (I'd say VW personally). But no, I definitely wouldn't recommend it with the invos and setup used in the video.
love this guide, all the other guides are like "go in there with 4 restores and do everythign perfectly good luck" and this one is way more realistic i love it
Just tried my first 490 (prepping for a 500) but im using tbow and trident, rather than shadow and bowfa. Entered p1 warden with 7 pray pots and planked twice in a row, getting dps checked. Only could get 3 keris specs each time and died with 43/44 hp to the first ball that hits 45
I haven't given this an attempt yet, but the way you have the staregy explained makes me feel like this is way more possible for me than I first considered. Will definately be saving this vid and checking pt2 when i eventually get to that stage. Thanks for sharing.
you can walk out to the right, freeze the first mob & walk back left. that will also unstack them. you will have to either tank or flick the mobs for the few ticks you’re exposed. it’s like 6 game ticks.
I really like the guide gives me a lot of motivation! not that I'll every get to a 500 haha I'm just happy if I can learn to solo 300s. idk why the first wardens fight is harder than the end for me but one day I'll get there.
Honestly, if/once you have a shadow, just try it with a friend, it’s a fun experience and it also makes it a lot easier. I just didn’t have any friends which were interested in getting one at the time which is why I did it solo.
legend, did it inside 15 kc, 2nd time on enrage phase, was fine with orbs, double deathed unfortunately as got excited prematurely. will go back to whisp and get it. appreciate the simplicity.
You actually had them unstacked at 3:14 as well, because you can use that exact same tile you are standing on to drag the monster, in this case the mager, in towards you, and you can use TBOW to range it down while remaining line of sight from the other monsters.
Glad they helped! I didn’t fully test it at the time, but it felt like it helped reduce incoming damage a bit, but still haven’t proved it out yet, can’t make it worse at the end of the day. I do want to make a duke guide but I have some important irl personal challenges to deal with over the next few months so it’s unlikely I’ll be making any videos at all for some time. Feel free to dm me on discord and I can try and help when I check my phone now and then.
I got him a few days ago. Great guide, your tile indicators really helped, as well as tagging the axes! Did not need to manipulate the visual metronome, was just too much to think about.. I just dodged the axes, prioritized a defensive mindset and making sure I clicked as accurately as possible. With all this, and doing normal Vardorvis over 200 times before, as well as looking at multiple example fights: I got him *first try.* By far my greatest RuneScape achievement!! :D
Man it’s rough. I’m like 50 orbs deep, and I’m losing confidence. Only made it to sub 50% twice. The prayer switching timing is so strange to me and throws me off my groove
Bro could u verify iff its fixed? i been doing it last 2 weeks and now its login out me even if i spacebar and and rotate my screeen automatic stuck keyboard.. at nmz
Thanks for the guide! Gave me the confidence to finally take a stab at a 500! You laid everything out very well and made me realize I had all the mechanical skills necessary to take down the raid!
Bandos works just as good, it’s the range def you want to max, melee stats don’t matter as much as it’s less likely you’ll be tanking melee hits off prayer. I’d avoid justiciar with a magic run as the negative magic att is too high imo
