The West should have listened to Albert Einstein's warning regarding Zionism and Zionist Israel, printed in the New York Times on December 4th, 1948 pg. 5, cosigned by other prominent Jews and scholars of that time. In it they said (quote) "Zionism is akin to Nazism". They referred to Israel and its forces as (quote) "terrorists, murderers, misguided, criminals, thieves" and went on to list their reasons. They warned the U.S. against supporting the Zionist Israeli state and Zionist project. He went on to almost predict Israel's "calamity". It's a long scathing letter of rebuke which the West should have heeded.
There will not be peace till Israel is no more occupying Palestinian land. If Israel wants to still exist in Palestine it has to retreat back to its original borders. This has been clearly sanctioned by a UN resolution.
