I'm a French artist. Hi, My name is Guilaine Poetic and romantic drawings for your soul;-)) Art passion❤ Thank you so much for your visit! Email me for collabs, commissions or sales.
Beautiful!! I am just curious ... do you use a reference photo to paint and draw your artworks or do you just paint from your imagination? LOVE your artwork!! <3
It really depends...I have an idea of what I want to paint...then I use as well reference images to get close to reality but not too much since I prefer an imaginative style and express my own art and ideas. So I think it is a combination of both at the end 😊
I have just very recently found your WONDERFUL channel ... and have subscribed here on RU-vid and also on your Instagram site ... I LOVE your BEAUTIFUL artwork, drawings and paintings ... and that you use and demonstrate such good quality supplies ... THANK YOU for your GREAT videos!! <3
@@jayne3944 Dear subscriber! Many thanks for these very kind words! It really encourages me to pursue this channel! It is not easy but I find some strength when I get this kind of nice comments! Many many thanks! 💗🙏😘
@@JB-ot9uk 😘 Many thanks! It is always a pleasure to see that someone is appreciating the art I'm doing. I try to put a lot of effort in my videos. Thank you again ! 💓
Thank you! The meaning? I tried a oil painting technique which is called Grisaille. This is an underpainting you do before doing your real oil painting. In my video (linked) I explained everything. The short is just a snippet! Thank you again!
The butterfly was great painted softly the first way you painted it sometimes I take a picture of it and study it and go back & paint it once i see it clear. It only need soft color soft outline blended gentle soft antennas. But the painting is beautifully painted.
Yes, I think you are right. When I looked back at my video, Indeed the first try was finally better...but I don't know why, I felt it was too bold....I can still try to make up my mistake...we shall see. Thank you for this nice comment and this nice advice as well! 😘😘💖
I love to paint I am self taught and I am not a expert. But I have sketched as a little girl. I only used oil 13 years ago on fb I have been putting my paintings I use, water colors, I used oil pastel’. & soft pastel & you have inspired me to use my oil paints I have collected. 👍😊
@@lisabarnes6919 We should never give up what we like to do even if we are not famous artists. Making art gives so much sense to our lives. It is a God blessing if we have a bit of a talent and we should not waste it! I'm happy that you will try again oil paintings! I love as well watercolors and oils pastels! There is always so much to learn! One life is not enough!
Hello! I used reference images. I used some pictures with saturated lights and shadows to be able to get these contrasts. So no, it is not from imagination. My imaginative drawings are simpler 😗 My goal was just practicing portraits.
Thank you! I'm trying different styles and also trying to use the digital tools as efficient as possible. If you have any tips for improving, let me know ! 🥰😉
Oh many many thanks very much! Hopefully you like the painting and you learn as well while I'm learning also while I'm painting. I'm not a professional oil painter but I really want to become one, one day!
Hello...linseed oil is normally the medium the most used to blend oil painting. I heard of saffron oil as well but never tried it. Maybe there is as well some thinner you could use? But you can also do without all these mediums. My drawing is small so for little details, It was necessary. If you draw on a paper enough large, blending with your fingers or with a blending tool is enough 🙂 I hope I answered your question!
i love the way you draw ppl and faces! i find it so intimidated to draw people but i love how unique yours look (in the best way), they have character!!! keep it up@@guilainejeanpierreart
