I get that fans are pissed about the o-line. I am just as mad, but if you are going to question Ryan Poles, take a second to look at next year. Yes, we Bears fans alway love talking about next year. The difference is this: every important position has a Star signed long term (for the most part). We have 3 top-50 picks in next years draft, and over $70mill in projected cap space. The o-line market next for FA is better than most years in the past. The same people bitching need to slow down and read between the lines. Pre-Poles we were run like a for profit business, we never had a ton of draft capital, we drafted fucking Trubisky (and gave away picks for him and Fields), we always drafted defense, we gave out terrible contracts and we barely ever cared about the O-line. My point is, say what you want. I know wait another year is not what we want to hear, but there is a really good chance this thing finally gets fixed after all these years and not just a quick fix
I’m a Commanders fan. When Howell was getting obliterated because of the putrid Oline, it was he isn’t good. Same is happening to Caleb and it’s his line. Smh!
People, why does everything have to be a political debate? “My guy is great and can do the job. Your guy sucks and can’t do the job.” 🙄 There are people in the comments here basically wishing Daniels eventually fails after having some early success. How ‘bout the league is better off if one or both succeed? Consider THAT!
Why is greeny talking like some sort of QB expert lmao. This dude just talks well, he says nothing of value. His entire take is based off of 3 games, if they won literally one extra game he'd sound totally different
Man ill die alone on this hill if i have to, but glorifying genius playcallers instead of athletes on the field is so weird in this sport. Guys sitting there with glasses on and a playsheet scheming wide open recievers... "Oooh look he's really in his bag now" "their play caller is dominating this game" ...puke. lets go back to QBs calling the plays, this is weird
RG3 was never 10-2 and did not ever posses a great skill set. 🤷🏽 the Shanahans wanted to trade him after the szn because they knew the league would catch up to him and that “read option”
The BEARS have the GM but we as bears fans know that the owners are the ones that make the decisions and there still living in the 80 defense not offense and that’s a mistake
Wilbon got bogus info... even right before the draft, they were inviting other QBs to come visit. Why do that if they knew JD was the guy? It's not like the Bears did that.
Why would any NFL scout pass on selecting the current Heisman Trophy winner? Daniels was the best college QB. Behind him were undefeated JJ McCarthy, Pac 12 Champion Penix. Caleb Williams lost 5-6 last college games. Lost Pac 12 Championship game .
I wouldn’t say no one I can remember Louis Riddick was saying he thought Daniel’s was the better pick and he was the same guy screaming that Mahomes was the best QB in the draft the same year we took Trubisky. I am a fan of Caleb but our line is the worst I have ever seen Jayden Daniel’s wouldn’t be playing Luke he is in Chicago behind that O-Line
Should the Bears have reset with an offensive HC? Probably. But if CW has a new HC & OC next year it won’t be the end of the world and will be better for him in the long run. After all Fields and Willis both have a new HC and OC and they are doing fine.
No the OL is getting man handled every single game There’s no holes for the running back There’s no time for the qb When caleb had time he has shown to make excellent passes
No Caleb, needs to be working on his foot work, reading d3fenses, and understanding what he can and cant do. The o line should be helping him but they not capable
I dont understand the panic the bears are 1-2 and have played competitively with tons of room for improvement. Its a 17 game season now people need to relax
No. Caleb needs an offensive minded HEAD COACH that isnt a SCHMUCK like the current HC. You don't need a defensive minded HC if your team runs a 4-3 TAMPA 2 defense. If you already have good safeties and good veteran linebackers as the Bears do, then find outstanding defensive line assistant coaches to be your DC. It's a very simple and basic defensive scheme that you shouldn't need a defensive minded HC to operate. Caleb Williams need his own Sean Payton, Shanahan, Reid, Harbaugh or McVeigh type.of coach. I'm hoping Klint Kubiak follows in his Dad's footsteps . The Bears need to get their QB and outstanding offensive minded HC that's spent a substantial period of time calling their own plays. Pry Bruce Arians out of retirement, I don't know, don't care just figure it out. In any manner the MCCASKEYS need to stop d!cking over their own BEARS fanbase with these clearance discount bargain bin Head Coaching hires.
Caleb is 3 games into a rookie season. Which means he still needs to learn many things. Thats why the GM and coaches need to make sure everything is decent enough around him , so he can learn, GET IT? Some of the mistakes via that OL - even a seasoned wouldnt be able to fix it
@@garypiont6114 the bears don't have the institutional knowledge required to obtain this "qualified man" you are talking about. I'm shocked you believe they do.
This has been SCREAMED about since Feb - dumb a** fans have been one track minded laser focused on Fields (INCLUDING THE BANDWAGON MEDIA!!!) as if these exact issues / especially the OLINE AND COACHES - was an absolute CLEARRRRR ISSUE FOR OVER A YEAR!!!!! It is EXACTLY the Jets last year, the browns before , etc etc etc over the years in the NFL…This is NOT NEW NEWS AT ALLL!!
Justin Fields was the offense for three years and the Bears barely gave him any help or weapons. They trade Fields and the offense disappears and what everyone thought was a borderline playoff team and the best spot for a #1 overall QB to land becomes the worst and a laughing stock. The Bears management and the Chicago media all deserve what they are getting because they asked for this shit
Blah blah , does Mike really think we believe that Washington would’ve took Jayden over Caleb? 😂😂 stop the cap bro, these guys just be sayin anything for a talking point 😂😂
It’s 100% true! You may not want to believe that. But I live in the DC Area and I NEVER wanted Williams. He may become a great player. I hope he does! But I never wanted him. I’ve ALWAYS wanted Daniels. I was actually afraid Chicago would take Daniels.
Payton Manning couldn't do shit behind this offensive line. The problem is I don't think they are willing to do anything about it except shift people around ! I think someone is not willing to spend money on the o-line. They don't see the value in offensive linemen. It's probably ownership making football decisions without knowing ANYTHING about football ! I love the Bear, but they are without a doubt the dumbest franchise in the NFL ! Anyone who knows anything about football KNOWS you start from the offensive line and build out ! I really believe ownership is the problem. The football people need to step up and take charge of this team. If this continues, look at the bright side. We may be looking at another #1 pick. And if they don't either trade the pick for a stud offensive lineman or pick one I'm done.
If Eberflus is a lame-duck coach, the cycle has already begun. Matt Nagy was a lame-duck coach for Justin Fields' rookie year. Bears might have a championship drought like the damn Cubs 🤦🏾
