Welcome to Wheelchair DNA! This channel is dedicated to motivating and educating anyone whom is interested. Mainly focused on showing what may be a better way to go about certain things. I'm not going to hold your hand and walk you through everything though. If I leave something out, I either forgot, or it's something you should learn for yourself to grow. Tough love.
I also talk about how to get or give help in some of my videos. Thank you for watching!
My instagram is @cosmocantdie and, on there, I have a good chunk of my life documented.
Check this out where I talk about emailing the company for a free warranty replacement ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--O-1rGRLb84.html
I work for the city in Oregon and this is what we do all year around Fix all these to be in complaints also for wheelchair accessibility. sounds like they need to put a little more money into sidewalks downtown. Call the city and complain. It’s not going to do much but it will never change if people don’t not make it known it’s a problem 🙏 also sometimes when you’re making these compliant, not able get them to point directly across from each other.
If that's all he had to worry about in Seattle. That'd be a great thing, but you got not enough cops. Crime is rampant. I know I grew up there in eighty years old, and the town's a piece of crap
So far I haven’t had any issues like that, it’s better than Denver, Detroit, and San Diego. But you know more about day to day life. As a 4 day trip here, it’s been nice
Do better Seattle! And look at your hands! You have to touch the street and sidewalk and all flooring! Yuck. We are so gross and street grime is a whole nother level of gross.
I have a friend that is in a chair. My wish for him is that one day he can leave it, I wish this for you also young man, all the best to you. I hope the chicken tasted good.
Hey man, thank you so much for posting all these informational videos for wheelchair users, genuinely helps a lot. Hope I can be as adventurous and independent as you one day 🙏
¡That’s awesome! I started to use Electrical Stimulation and I didn’t know that you can develop muscles. I had a question, Do you do the same routine that you "would" under normal conditions? I mean, sets and reps. I have a spinal cord injury as like you and I want to try to build muscles in the lower part of my body because I will start wearing orthotics. And as always, thank you very much for your channel, you have been a great inspiration for me and I finally decided to help people with disabilities by making videos and inspiring others like you. Hugs from Chile! (And I still practicing English by myself if I make mistakes in your language).
Thank you!! I’m not sure if it’s normal to gain muscle mass by doing this, but I do take creatine, which might help. When I do this I don’t do normal sets and reps that I would before getting injured. Usually it’s high reps (as much as 30) and usually just body weight or light weight because the stim is doing all the work. Also, I do get muscle spasms, I think that contributes. I’m happy I was able to inspire you! Your English is great!
Thanks for ideas. I am 72. Started picking at 13. Had left leg amputated above the knee 5 years ago and have been having trouble. Shoulders and arms do not reach without tiring soon. Thinking about tiny guitar or uke. You have fun. Google ' ray fox jesus ' to see me. I hope to polish up playing and do more.
I have a JAY Balance which uses a Roho component (back seating part is basically a Roho air cushion). What I use is my iPhone. It's quite simple and it's pin point. You'll need your headphones equipped(AirPods or Beats, etc) and the phone which you will use as a microphone. Access your control panel and tap Live Listen and move the phone with the mic part over the cushion. The noise of air escaping out is very loud, don't increase the volume too much. Mark the area with something after identified and apply the patch. Also, if the instant patches are failing, you can use something like liquid rubber/pvc, keep in mind those type of adhesives are emitting fumes and must be used in a well-ventilated area.(I've pasted the comment form the other video here too, hope it helps).

If you’re newly injured, you can usually get them while you’re still in rehab (depending on your level of injury, type (complete v. Incomplete) and possibly Asia rating. I got my first pair of braces when I was at Walter Reed, going to rehab, but years later I upgraded to assistive K AFOs: When I went through the second time, I had already had my braces for years. First I asked my regular doctor, then I saw a physical therapist, and then I went to the actual orthopedic specialist. I first got injured on March 3, 2008. ( I was in the military, so I was initially in Ballad, which is in northern Iraq, then Landstuhl Germany, then Walter Reed. I received my wheelchair on April 18, and then I got my braces maybe five or six weeks later.

My wife isn't paralyzed, but she does have a prosthetic right leg. A lot of the tricks you use help her out also. Thanks for posting. I'm sure you help many, many people out.
@@WheelchairDNA yes, i lock the brakes, but i think because my weight is more on the foot plate, it tends to tilt the chair forward a little bit which causes the chair to slip away from me.
Is it difficult to sit on the floor in the bathroom?? I mean, I believe that using the ground is not bad if you can do it... In my country, there is a piece of plastic that is spread on the ground and you sit on it... It is used by the general public And not just those who have a problem... Good day to you 🩷
For me it’s not hard, the only difference for me is that I need cushioning. Hard surfaces are uncomfortable, that’s why using a folded towel is good for the bathroom
You can get that leather that you are wearing from Morocco. It is spongy and comfortable. Choose it carefully. You can also fold it and put it in the bag. It will not take up space at all. @@WheelchairDNA
