a lot more tanky, better single target (maybe?), worse clear since it's a wilt build so you're not at full dot dps the moment you touch an enemy. + you don't have brands clearing screens for you
@@OvermasterP that's a silly question. Of course you'd try to fit a praerie in almost every build. I'd just try to copy "main skill deals 15% additional fire damage every 1 second" lines.
@@OvermasterP i haven't done the math yet comparing best case scenario with regular slates to order stack, but i do have an unusual chaos stack setup planned
How come people dont have the hospital mission included in their speedruns? Its quite a bunch of gameplay you have to do there regardless of how slow some of it is
we decided to not include it just to preserve sanity of runners. It's not fun to start with basically a 15 minute autoscroller every single time. Also technically on the boards the usual any% categories are called chapter 1and technically that does start from phantom limbs after prologue.
@@MetsametsaSpeedruns I see, I guess that makes sense. Actually speaking of which I wonder if you could help me out with something? I'm currently stuck on mission 18 called Blood runs deep. Now I completed both main tasks those being take out the 6 prisoners from both those camps (including escorting those 5 children to the chopper) and it says I have completed both tasks yet the game still says I haven't passed the mission and I can't figure out why? Do you have to do all the main tasks in one sitting back to back without leaving the mission in between? Because when I kill the first prisoner to complete task one I left the mission to go have my dinner (I assumed I could do this since it said I completed that task) then when I loaded the game up again I went and saved those 5 children for the other task and got that done and got a pass for it yet like I said it says I haven't completed the mission? :/ Sorry if any of that is confusing, it's best I could explain of it
Ty so much for the sheet! How did you manage to have your game at ultra wide res? is it your monitor or is there a way to make tli like that by forcing like lost ark?
Your leveling sheet is so awesome. Used it yesterday and could easily replicate your run (not the speed 😉). Thx so much! I really consider league starting this. Do you have by any chance an endgame version in a planner?! Would love to see where it could go. What was the dummy dps last season?! Easy 8-2 would be my goal, is this build capable?! How much FE investment would it take approximately?! Thx!!!
Yeah I'm starting with this build. I haven't figured out the exact endgame setup yet but it should work out just fine as a starter. I'm not worried at all about items being too expensive.
I'm wondering why you took the time to change outfits. Do certain outfits have some sort of benefits? Or is it just an aesthetic choice, and the few seconds it burns isn't that significant in a 7-hour run? (Please forgive my ignorance if this is a dumb question. I just finished my casual playthrough, and wanted to check out a speedrun.)
Total noob to speedrunning this game but I would’ve thought Ravening Lunge would be utilized - is that because cutting wind is faster or maybe because of the weight cost of a greatsword? anyways, great job man, so many cool tricks here
This is either a really bad game to attempt speedruns or you are just good at making it look bad. I thinks a lot of both. Game devs should make running the viable form of travel instead of spamming weapons skills. It makes this run unwatchable.
The shiniest gem I gleaned from this was the revelation that it's possible to shortcut to Battahl for the first time by getting arrested. I choked on my tea. Many thanks for the nifty information and for my tea-sodden desk.
Good job. You've gotten a lot better at juking those enemies on the road. NG in this game looks brutal compared to Dark Arisen, given that the low-level Arisen is made of paper (particularly so when Thief), enemies are heat-seeking missiles, and all your speed abilities are desperate to lock onto every NPC that crosses your path. Plus there's no easy way to get a million stamina consumables to fuel your sprints like in DD1, so you have to slow down a lot more for stam regen. (RIP Liquid Vim.) That last sprint to the volcanic ruins looks especially brutal. One bad catch on a rock or something and a harpy/bandit/saurian/warg pokes your back to end your shit. Props to you for doing it so clean.
Actually the last sprint at volcanic island is pretty much free if you get formless feint like I do, it speeds up animations AND makes you automatically dodge anything while active. You just need some stamina restoratives as it consumes stamina over time.
First off congrats on sub 1 hour. I know the prep hoping for a good run must’ve been brutal. Also at around 48:45 were u short a ferry stone? Or are u require to run back to allow Talos to get killed by guards (plus the days skipping). Also I didn’t realize u didn’t have to do all Brant’s quests lol just the first 3. Been tryna speed run to unmoored world to farm dragons crystals and get everything in game. Thx again for run, best of luck in future
Yeah i was short by 1. Also the game does block you from fast travel while you are in "combat" with Talos. BUT, if you open the menu right away after the cutscene it allows you to place down a port crystal and ferrystone away. I wasn't aware of this yet on this run.
I need to come back to doing NG+ but I need to prepare a better save to have a chance of being competitive. We figured out that doing Thief for most of the run is better, since Formless Feint (thief meister skill) also boosts your animation speed. With the additional stamina drain you'd preferably want to have a max amount of harspud roborants for stamina. Also I need better knives more suitable to oneshot goblins.
I know what you mean, but the speedrun community made a decision to have boards only for this ensing on NG+. Doing true ending is the exact same route, except you just do 2 extra autoscrollers on the dragons back, fast travel once, and sleep for 10 days. Not really that engaging. There is another true ending category on the boards that require dealing with the actual endgame challenges but noone has tried running/routing that one yet.
Very, very disappointed with this game and soon got fed up with repetitive side missions and disjointed chapters. Plus - why do the story lines have to be so bloody complex? Tuned out in favour of Sniper Elite 4. Mother base.. wtf?
