He says "pyyvettähän" which means to "catch", the standard Finnish word is "pyydystää". As they made fishing nets they anticipated what kind of fish that specific net would catch for good fishing luck 🙂
I believe that the milky way was used in the title since it has significant meaning in Finno Ugric mythology. It was seen as a link between this world and 'eternity' and as a sort of pathway for the souls of our ancestors.
It's really amazing how different and diverse the Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian people's languages and lifestyles are from their cousins in Russia. And they still have their origins in common.

Russians had push out native ugorian people from history of Russia. Their descendants still live here, but completely lost his language and self-determination.
I'm reading "Hõbevalge" right now and a friend recommended this documentary to me. It was very enlightening - especially listening how the languages gradually started sounding more and more like estonian. Don't get me wrong, they were all beautiful, but...I have never heard the Karjala language before. I never realized how pretty it sounds.
