Thank you! I prefer the blocks corner to corner with the medallion in the center of the squares. The extra borders keep it orderly and highlight the flowers. I was hoping for a written pattern as well.
I did this quilt earlier this year. I had the pattern since it came out, and I saw it shown on MSQC. It was a very fun quilt to make and the final product was very satisfying. I used David Yenters Prism layer cake from In The Beginning. I absolutely love this pattern 😍
I still have this pattern waiting patiently in my stash. I’ve seen so many versions of it now I’m having decision paralysis on what fabric to use. I love it so much in all the color ways.
I use a zipper foot for my binding, it works like a charm. I also use Elmer's school glue instead of pins. I just put little dots of glue but I never thought about long lines of glue for my binding, that would save a little time. 🙂
I have made two of her quilts and have bought many patterns for my long list. I can recognise one of hers at a glance, her style is very unique. My next one is going to be Millefleur block of the month. I won't be starting it until the rest of them have finished unfortunately, but it will get done, and it will be gorgeous. I love your colour choices.
I find it doesn’t always stay stuck to my quilt, and that if I do use it, I can only mark on seam at a time, because when I roll up the quilt it gets all messed up. I do have a friend that swears by painters tape, so that is a good option. I just find it hard to work with.
Question - when you are quilting, do you sew all rows in the same direction (ex. north to south)? Or do you sew the rows in opposite directions each time (ex. north to south, then south to north)? Hope this makes sense. Thanks
Totally makes sense. I will see in both directions. Usually start in the middle and go on direction until I reach the corner. Then I will flip the quilt, start back in the middle and go towards the corner.
