Originally opened in 1939 as the Clinton Theater, it was renamed Austin Theater in September 1950. It was last known as the Cinema Theater before it closed in 1982 and was acquired by the City of Clinton. We are now The Sampson Community Theater and we are home to live theatrical productions and other live events in and around Sampson County.
I enjoyed Clay's take on the Lenny character in the ending monologue. I played it a bit differently in our production in 2010 (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XCA2MCIddgA.html), mostly being that I was channeling my inner Steve Martin for my take on Lenny. :)
