VERY clear and concise instructional video. Thank you!! Worked on getting this done for over an hour. Like countless others, I found it impossible to keep the app paired to the cam. It simply does not work. Unfortunately useless. (Btw, 1 1/2 stars for this app in the App Store.) It is beyond comprehension that Toyota could not get THIS right, at the very least. And why Toyota did not link this cam up with the 360 degree and bird’s eye view camera that comes equipped with this vehicle is a total head scratcher. Taking my Rove3 from my 2021 and installing it in this vehicle. Front, rear and interior views and flawless operation with 5 Star tech support for under $300.

I have the exact vehicle you're asking about and I haven't been able to get it to work after many tries. It's a great idea and I'm disappointed that Toyota can't make this work....isn't that why we spend more money for a Toyota?
Thanks for the video. Does the dashcam require a subscription after a year? Toyota now has all type of annoying subscription services such as safety connect, service connect, remote connect, wifi connect...... if it requires a subscription, I don't think this is worth it.
You are welcome! I apologize on the dead personality factor then and didn’t DASH… to better record… That was definitely a broken record. I am always upfront and straight forward… Toyota has Toyota Connected Services to locate vehicles that have been ultra-worked to “Borrowing”/Theft or the key being taken. The Toyota Integrated Dashcam main purpose is for having the actual facts recorded to supply that the other driver messed up. Video has the actual proof. Another purpose is when David/Karen like personalities mark up/wreck into your perfectly sitting vehicle with the PARK mode. For preventing Catalytic Converter Thefts, reach out to me for better options at 859-492-9371 or SeeTheQuigley@gmail.com that would make it so exhausting… to them that they would just see the protection and exhaust themselves from taking it.
Paint the Catalytic converter and having it etched is the best way to discourage Cat Thief. The reason makes it harder to sell providing they don't have a hack shop buyer. Dash cam really does little for Security, great for taking Scenery Videos and sometimes when involved in an accident. You should never look toward being in an accident. Mount a camera outside your home or at the window inside aimed at your vehicle if you think someone will vandalize or steal stuff.
