Yes, gas range is designed to be no frills and incredibly simple, they do not have the sophisticated electronics in them and only use 110v power. The gas range is a simple, well-made, well-designed powerhouse of a range. Thanks for watching!!!
Don't fall the hype! I have this identical model and it's been a money pit. The latest problem is the ice maker not working that has been diagnosed as deteriorated wiring in the freezer door from water leaks that caused elecrical shorts. There's an irony that one of the most expensive refrigerators is also the highest in maintainace.
@@user-vf2kv2qi3s thanks for commenting and watching! If you are having problems make sure you call their corporate number 888-845-4641 option 3! I hope they are able to help you out! Depending on age there should be warranty support!!
Except a bbq doesn’t have the glorious exhaust notes of a sports car or move for that matter! But I understand your view…it’s hard to show the flame and doesn’t really add to the video if you are trying to show someone the features and how it works. Thanks for watching !
yes, that seems to be a mixed bag.. benefit of no knobs is easier cleanability. You can wipe off the surface when you are done cooking with a sponge and not have to take the knobs off to clean. This choice by wolf seems to not please all homeowners. If you are looking for an induction range with knobs you may want to look at the cornufe, Bertazzoni, Verona, or the AGA.
@@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ I was looking at the cafe line, specifically because of the knobs and availability at costco, but will check out the options you listed.
Thanks for watching the video and commenting Cathy! I am sorry your oven is not working after 4 years! Your dealer should be able to help you out with a local servicer that should be able to address any issues you may have with your unit! Give them a call most Viking Dealers are pretty helpful and willing to help. If you purchased from a retailer that is not helping in a manner that is acceptable to you give their customer service a call or email. 888-845-4641 / Press 3 customercare@middlebyresidential.com ! Hope that helps you Cathy!
Well.. Thank you for the Kind words, if you pull the shelves out there is a black clip on either side of the drawer simply pull up on it and then pull the shelf out. Thanks for watching!
Got my wolf 36” induction a week ago, the second one, the oven is perfect the burners not so much, right front one is the hottest instead of the middle one, all around the burner gets very hot almost to the middle burner
An induction stove should never get hot enough to give you any sort of burn. The surface will get hot to the touch but not burn your skin light things on fire hot. Hope that makes sense. Keep using it, if you really think it’s hot enough to cause any combustion call your local dealer and have service take a look at it.
All my Viking Electrical appliances have quality problem. Refrigerator , dish washer, stove and oven are all Viking. Each of them has quality problem. One crack appeared on the refrigerator inside after 3 months of purchase. Oven lost the timing function after 2 months of purchase. The detergent box of dish washer didn’t open sometimes and had to wash twice. Refrigerator kept breaking down after repair. Viking is really a NIGHTMARE . Never buy that brand. Who can tell me how to get compensation for that?
So first off, make sure you go to a reputable dealer. The good news is that all of your products are covered under a manufacturer's warranty. If they cannot repair the crack, they should advocate for the replacement of the unit if it is a defect in product quality. Speak to your dealer first they should be able to help. Viking has a direct number you can call as well. (1-888-845-4641) They should be able to help. Thank you for posting.
I got a few things wolf should implement. I feel wolf should have the 36K BTU wok burner in a single range-top module. I don’t have interest in the single 22K BTU cooktop. Also wolf should implement the Double Griddle(option infrared grill) to be a single range-top module. Finally wolf should implement both a wok griddle combo range-top. This would allow the customer to pick and choose a premium option without having to waste on extra burners and space they don’t need to. I’m already buying a wolf 36” gas range with 6 burners for my wife in our house build but we want both the Double Griddle into the counter next to it. I will buy the combo right now if they gave me the option.
If it was me I would do a 65k btu single wok burner rangetop model. They did have a double griddle and grill module .. they were discontinued because they could not sell enough units to justify building and stocking the products. If that is what you are looking for you may want to look at the Gaggenua product line. www.gaggenau.com/us/products/cooktops/400-series#anc-8311484
@@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ I agree with a 65k Btu single wok burner but the wolf 36k Btu burner is the highest btu burner with a wok deflection cone that I can find currently for indoor installation. Gaggenau is still an 18.8 k btu wok burner still less than the wolf 22k Btu smaller wok cooktop. At 36k Btu the bigger wolf wok burner just barely would give you a flame over wok hei. Really, ideally 65k-75k is the ideal minimum for wok burner with a deflection cone. If you can show me an indoor wok burner that’s 65k Btu then let me know I’ll probably look more into it.
Wolf needs to make a concave 5KW induction wok burner for a 13" wok. The 13" wok is more common than the 16" and larger one (as demonstrated here) for home cooking. It would also provide enough room on a 36" configuration to have side burners in addition to main center wok burner for boiling vegetables, soups, and preparing sauces, and noodles.
Sorry for delay! It’s based on preference! Ceramic is more traditional grilling think of it like a hot charcoal briquette, takes longer to preheat and cool down! Trident is almost instant heat and is going to give a great sear, lynx trident burner is super versatile from high to low.
Sorry for the delayed response!!! You are going to hate this answer but any range to preheat 100% to 350 will take a full 30 minutes. I don't care if they manufacturer says that it gets to 350 degrees in 11 minutes that is simply the air temperature inside of the oven. To have the oven truly heated to 350 the walls must be uniformly heated. So my answer is a full 30 minutes whether its a 36" or 30" range.
I bought a wolf 36” range induction and does nothing like this video, hopefully the cook top is better than the range, so far mine cooks only if I have small pot or pans, good for boiling water or making sauces, if you use stove top more than oven and cook for more than 4 people stay away from this range, this one is not for you, they have a good customer service hopefully they can fix mine, so far big mistake
What a fantastic job you did with this video. I don't think you missed a thing. I've been researching and looking at all brands and you have sold me on this one/this model! I was already familiar with Subzero but his new 48" French door with 21 cu. refrigerator and 7.5 cu freezer capacity is exactly a dream combination for me!! I just spoke to someone at the showroom in Dallas which is the nearest one to Tyler, TX. I told him about your video and encouraged them to take a look :) Thank you!
and why does it take 30 SECONDS to light the rotissiere burner? also, why is it important to have the ros burner??? i mean, aren't the burners beneath all you need to create a temperature? what does the grill thermometer go to?
i could not see you "light" the grill. nice video though. is the temp 1,000 or, 1,200? i have heard both. Is the rotisiere under warranty? springs? what about the trident netting that's over the burner?
@@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ Thank you! Have you heard anything about Miele coming out with a 36" version of their induction range? The steam oven is so unique!
@@whodoyoudancefor They have no formally announced a 36" induction range from Miele. We have seen the prototype of the Monogram, and we just got the new Thermador 36" induction range on display here at our store!
I had a dual wolf 36” inch the flames did not get fixed and I was told that’s the way they all are so I bought induction 36” wolf, the large burner has less power than small ones incredible amount of steam with vent on full blast, after technician came over they changed something but not only the burner did not get fixed the amount of steam from boiling water on the medium is unreal, the oven was fantastic and now it dries everything, all the steam from oven went to burners it seems, hopefully soon I would have a proper working stove, begin waiting more than a year
The only negative is that if you have a single oven mounted below the counter top, the buttons are hard to see. Too bad that they are not back lit. Besides that, this oven is equal in cooking quality compared to the M series which I have two side by side single ovens with warming drawers below in my main home.
@@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ When I bought the E series oven for my beach condo, I had just presumed myself that the buttons were backlit. I also dislike the horizontal layout of the digits and always have to put on my reading glasses as many do since this brand appeals to those of us over 40. The two M series ovens, no problem with the interface and that they are eye level at the control panels.
@@kennixox262 all great points the new e series has had some updates to the control panel that help with what you are speaking of! Hope to get a video up on those soon!
Don't do it. I went all in on Viking appliances, and the only thing that didn't fail catastrophically was my 6 burner range with a griddle. 48 inch fridge died within two years, dishwasher leaked so I tossed it and bought a Bosch, and the microwave has been doing weird things lately. The 48" range hood still works fine but never again. After my refrigerator died in two years, I reached out to Viking, and they wouldn't even give me the courtesy of a reply. I went to the store where I originally bought them and they offered to sell me a new replacement at cost which still cost me around $5000 and now a couple years later the water dispenser stopped working on the new one! You press the dispenser and water comes out on the floor. Complete junk!
dc, thank you for commenting!!! Appreciate you being here and adding to the conversation! There were a few years where there were many problems with the brand, since they were acquired by Middleby we have seen a lot of improvement in product quality especially their refrigeration. Is any brand of appliance perfect... no but service volume has greatly been reduced on the Viking refrigeration in the past few years.
@@MARSILLIOSAPPLIANCETVBBQ I have a Viking 48 and love it. My only complain is the Plasma Cluster fan is noisy, but the refrigerator is very quiet. @dc8023 Funny, I did the opposite of you. I threw out my Bosh dishwasher (trash) and got the Viking...
Do not buy Viking or Sub-Zero or any of these overpriced monsters unless you want to play hell trying to get good service when you need it and being charged ridiculous prices for simple repairs. Beware
Michael, you are not completely wrong! These machines are more expensive to repair than a $1000 refrigerator, they are harder to work on because they are attached to cabinets and walls. Statistically speaking based on amount of service calls and life expectancy they rank the highest for longevity. Regardless, thanks for watching and commenting on the channel!
