The new release "everything is different now" was rather poignant😢 because it seems as if they're trying to ERASE from history many of Don's songs; for example ones I've gotten copyright strikes on simply for using the lyrics and singing them in a completely different genre, to a completely different piece of music. They really dislike INSIDE JOB, they've got me for that one twice, and now they've got me twice for BOYS of SUMMER... Yet ironically I see artists all over RU-vid covering Boys of Summer... but no let's give Ray ANOTHER COPYRIGHT STRIKE @UniversalMusicGroup huh?
Don Henley is such a humble guy & a real classy man. I love his songs, his singing, & his wonderful ability to tell great stories thru his song writing.
It's so annoying, and Don Henly feels it here, that Journalists always obsess about labelling Music into a category or a genre. Who cares ? It's just music to most people, and most people don't listen or buy just one single category of music, they listen to what they like, regardless.

music is, has been, integral part of human life from cave age... the moment human beings discovered sound, sound they made then same time they disocvered that from thin reeds sound musical notes come which later got translated into strings on instruments.. from sitar in asia India santoor, harmonium piano guitar of west oudh uklele then drums of course now it is machines and computers which generate modern music and symphonies orchestras now left just for concerts but greates music creators of earlier age are still alive in their music to world and they shall continue to be so... just think centuries back the classical music creators from europe of course those generations bloodlines are the ones scattered in new found lands of americas, australia, new zealand, canada including first generation criminals sent:) all over...
Beyond Henley's great talents he also makes some very pointant statements about how American is changing from towns being bypassed to his quite from Aristotle to even mentioning folks watching Ken Burns PBS Civil War series. His understanding of American history is also relevant to who we are now. It would be ashame if we all got stumbled on his voice and missed the message.

What a contribution The Eagles have made to all of our lives. We all miss Glenn, but love the addition of Vince Gill’s talent bringing his voice and quality guitar playing. It all remains very good.

So much more humble than I anticipated, but the Aristotle reference really illuminated for me the difference in what pop culture appreciates and celebrates today. It's too rare that fame now is begotten by intelligence, dedication to the craft, and in this case, profound storytelling.
Don Henley's voice is soulful and powerful, there is no other artist that I enjoy listening to more than Don Henley's . His music seems to stem from personal experiences and deep from his ❤ heart, also very well spoken 👏 this interview is fabulous, his wonderful music is no surprise
