i till with 8ft tiller behind john deere 4430,,,first i break with breaking plow about 8 inches deep then let it sit for 5 or so weeks then hit it with tiller and go slow 5 or 6 inches deep,,,,works very well,,,,,do it again next spring
I think both can be said. But it is an overgrown lawn mower or garden tractor. But it is a subcompact tractor and it's very potent for its size. I would put it against any of its competitors. Thank you for the positive comment it's always appreciated.
Tillage not designed to drop directly in ground will eventually destroy it must always plow or all purpose plow or disk like they used to turn over if fall let freeze out have a better garden yield next year not to many old farmers any more new generation of farmers. I want sell a tiller to customer if there not going to loosen ground up first new generation really y don't no if you do it like you should gave a better garden yield papaw already prettiest and biggest vegetables they did it right gad to first time what they are in winter
I apologize for the poor quality of the video but it was a last minute thing. As I sold this tractor and it went through the shop we're getting ready to deliver it and I had the text take it off and put it back on just so I can video tape it to help anybody down the road. Plus a lot of times it's nice to have a video link to give your customer so they can see you take it off and put it back on. It isn't necessarily needed to have a step-by-step by step verbal commentary. Most people after watching this would be able to put that back on or take it off. I hope it helped.
Plz give me some advice... Somebody told me that he could rent his 1025 to me $200 month, u think it is a fair price or high? Because I just need one to till the soil after they already plow to me
Which tractor best to break ground or till it to be ready for planting for 8 acre farming, plz give me some advice and price also because I am looking for a used one?
Doing my back pasture today. Has not had water on it for a few years. Gonna try first with the tiller but may have to plow it with the box blade first. THANK YOU for this video. I have the same exact rig.
I enjoyed the video. From my experience using a rear tine 8HP Troy Bilt tiller over many years, the closer you cut the grass to the ground, the easier that first pass will be... It’s still going to be rough... Just less rough. I agree with other posts that a light first pass also will be less rough and less stress on the equipment.
Never an easy process breaking new ground, especially when it is bone dry and rock hard the way it looks. It will take time , but you will get the desired result eventually. I have done this with a walk behind front tine tearing up sod at a house i bought 25 years ago. It took forever but i got it done. Pto tillers are the only way to go for a large area.:)
I have a Honda FRC 800. If I try breaking up sod in a field the tines rip the machine at a high rate if speed and it will yank you off your feet. Lesson learned the hard way
Good video. I've got a Frontier Rt1149 also. Tilled up 3 acres of unworked very hard ground already, no issues at all. Just takes awhile cause you need to go over it 2 or 3 times but looks great, Planted 4,500 Christmas Trees & Canola. Also make sure you take it out of the ground all the way on turns.
A bottom plow is old technology for turning sod. #1 a Sub compact is to small for most plows. #2 a sub compact is to small for most middle busters too which was also in the comments. I feel if your going slow in normal sod you are fine tilling. I did it because a customer of mine asked how it would preform. And alot of people are expressing thier opinions on that. I am using it on did on farm land and going slow. I didn't think it would be a issue and I am going to continue to till with it. I think it did a pretty good job and that was the point of it so I guess that's a win.
That is very impressive! Just as impressive is Austin Foster. I met him today for the first time at United Ag & Turf. I went there after I visited the Kubota dealer, looking to buy a subcompact tractor. No comparison between the two tractors. No comparison between the two salesmen. Austin knew his stuff and was very energetic to explain the features, benefits, and advantages of buying a Deere and doing business with his company. I am fussy with who I do business with and I can highly recommend Austin. Well done! -Harry
Great video! Nice looking tractor. We are surprised how much our John Deere 2210 will lift also. We did a video about it lifting things with our pallet forks.
I've tilled without plowing and it beats up the tiller, nice of you to sacrifice for another tuber. Tell the gentleman a mid buster is cheap and will save his tiller. good video
The middle buster is honestly too big for a 1025r as far as hight and pull from the ground. You should have seen the rocks I moved and the ground I tilled last night. One was 1000lbs. My tiller does well. The slip clutch definitely helps.
Interesting you say that. I middle busted a field last weekend and I thought what pain in the butt. I plan on tilling that busted field and tilling an unbusted field this weekend.
What is your thought on the chipper/shredder version? I'm debating one of those down the line for all of the leaves during fall and other yard clean ups.
I am sorry I suck. I just saw your message. The chipper shredder is the only option for leaves and mulching. If you pack leaves into the chipper eventually it will jam it solid.
Zero cost environment friendly wheat sowing technique with out burning paddy rice straw. No till. Cover crop ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UWuxQPTdKqc.html
Might ought to take the driveshaft clutch apart to clean and adjust. If it's working it shouldn't shut the tractor off. I bought a Country Way tiller this year and found the clutch bolts bottomed and the clutch discs were all rusted to the hub. After I cleaned it and put it back together I turned the bolts one turn past flush with the lock nuts and it is plenty tight to drive my 6 foot tiller.
I agree, also, if you lift the rear gate on the first pass that will allow the material to be thrown out the back. Then make a second pass with the gate down and have at it, much better results and much easier on the equipment.
Hahaha. I get what you are saying but they are actually rotary cutters. People only call them Bush Hogs because the Brand Bush hog was one of the first to do it. For example. Pepsi is soda... You wouldn't call orange soda Pepsi. I sell them for a living.
Had a guy selling a Land Pride 48" box blade that was new for $400 or $350. Forget now. But it was cheap enough that I jumped on it asap. He went to load it into my truck with his BX23S and couldn't get it high enough. I have a stock 2011 1500 RAM! He went full throttle and still couldn't lift it high enough. Lowered it and strapped it up tighter and repositioned and finally just got it barely in the truck. Got home, put my 36" forks on my 2018 1025r and lifted out of the truck at idle. Dropped the loader down and lifted it at idle and put it into the truck with no problem. Can have the BX23S with its lift capacity and the tin levers locking the loader on. Biggest option that the BX had was the loader quick connect and JD just fixed that a week or two ago, now hopefully they make it standard at the same price point!
at the dealership I had a customer that really wanted to 1025 like mine but the contingency was it had to lift 500 pounds at least on pallet forks into the back of a 3/4 ton rack body pickup. We had a 500 lb cement weight on a pallet. So I put pallet forks on the tractor and put the weight in the back of his truck with no hesitation. I unloaded it just as easily. That was all he needed to see. We went in and he bought it. Our other dealership actually sold Kubota. We got to try them out all the time. To get them to lift what they're actually rated for you had to turn the throttle up to get the hydro pumping. That's why I mentioned it was at idol. I am going to weight the rocks to see what it was once I get the scales and have time.
