basically it esplains how to get into jhanas 1 2 3 4 . but this is vipassana jhana not samatha ( which is very imbalanced ) in vipassana jhana contact is still there will in samatha there is no more contact . Don t follow the nimittas which appears when the faculties are imbalanced or you ll go into samatha in which you re awareness becomes null
Yeah, people light up forests with fire fingers and an an Indian man rode a horse to the moon. When did the truth stop being important to a Cambridge trained physicist? How sad to exchange truth and facts for myth and superstition, then to teach them as truth when you truly do know better. That's not admirable.
You should meditate earnestly and if you're fortunate you may attain a jhana. I guarantee your perspective on what is possible and not possible will change.

He said very well: If someone calls you a dog, look on your back and see if you got a tail". Basically, the best solution is to ignore it. Stop having expectations. Life is suffering. Don't run away from it. Learn from it. Grow from it. You have racism suffering, other people have other kinds of suffering. Suffering is suffering regardless. Listen to more talks of Ajahn Brahm and apply the knowledge.
