Tom is such a no BS player. It comes right from his soul to his fingers. The first time I became aware of him was a "Rig Rundown" episode, and immediately I was blow away by his tones........they were all so pure. Not hiding behind any effects and trickery. I was a fan after that video, then I found his Homeskoolin' channel and he is now one of my absolute favorite players. He will post some improv jams now and then that will bring a tear to your eye. On top of that, he has the best damn personality!! Always a positive force.
I'm very interested in this guitar, I have a partially torn rotator cuff and the deep body of my dreadnaught has become to uncomfortable. What is the scale length of this guitar?
Cool. Are those using the sinker mahogany and how is the neck thickness? Not nut width. Thickness as in like .85 at 1 and .95 at 12? Insert the numbers as appropriate. Is it v shape etc?
Buk is destiny for the finest instruments and gear! Make a bedroom record Larry- pleeZ. Just you for the most part. Not a lot of gear. Simple production- raWdaWg it bruH. The trick iZ...GREAT SONGZ only. And although you may be running low on tolerance for the traditional formulaic Nashville progressions, a lot of fancy chords doesn't necessarily translate to a bangeR...as you already know. You may write a onE-chorD stomp that is top shelF...it's all about the melody...in my humble opinion
Aww, George! Mine arrived in perfect shape and I've been playing it all week. It's really something special and is very inspiring to pick up and play. My Sitka and black locust sounds superb and sustains so beautifully. For anyone out there who has been frustrated with the setup of a new guitar, mine arrived just right and there wasn't a thing to do with it but play it. George doesn't oversell anything. But if you pay attention to all the subtleties, the Versitar keeps revealing how special it is. Thank you so much, George!
He's so amazing! I've made a video with tab transcription for those who want to learn this beautiful demo, it's here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ujfF4rIDCSQ.htmlsi=JoSROlfzHeR9oTW-
Thank you Mr. Faison and the Tennessee House of Representatives for doing a good thing, the right thing. George, your contribution to the string-instrument world is immeasurable and you are well and truly deserving of this recognition. Congratulations George.
Congratulations George! We think he is a "National Treasure." We have learned so much from him since we first picked up a guitar and mandolin. So much acoustic instrument knowledge in one body, and a willingness to share it with others who ask.
Not to mention what a hell of a nice guy he is!! Always wiling to help anyone, and share his knowledge for as long as anyone is willing to listen!! We love you George, and a huge congrats on your award!! About time!! LOL 8) --gary
