Quick question is it normal that I do not always get high during the breathwork? I fell calm and relaxed but I do not always get high during the breathwork?
Mooi gedaan. Als een Amerikaan die Nederlands op z'n negentienste begon te leren vind ik dat je erg goed doet. Total immersion! I did three things to build my vocabulary faster. TV kijken! Not every minute of every day of course, but I would watch the news with my landlady. Then we would talk about what I had seen. She did not speak English so it was really a challenge to see how much I had understood. The second was to pick up books in Dutch that I had already read in English. That way I knew the story so reading them in Dutch I was able to figure out words that were unfamiliar faster. The third was reading comics. Something like Jan Jans en de Kinderen or Donald Duck or one of my favorites... Douwe Dabbert. The advantage when you're building vocabulary is that you get both types of language. The speech balloons in the comic give you common everyday spoken language versus the narrator boxes which are usually written in more formal written prose. To anybody trying to learn a language I highly recommend reading comics, aka strippenverhalen, stripboeken, graphic novels. My brother had spent a couple years in Italy and had begun to collect Asterix in Italian. So when I got to Holland I began to collect Asterix in Dutch. You will be surprised how much vocabulary you can pick up.

you are doing both good like dutch is hard to learn i'm from belgium and live here for 21 years and still have some troubles with words but in dutch satin jullie doen het heel goed veel succes
i do enjoy lentil curry, very similar to what you did for yours, any veg you want plus lentils, fry the lentils a little bit before adding liquid to it, then let it simur for awhile so the lentils absorb the water and flavour becoming soft
Yeah it definitely does sound like that :) But I like it a lil more than German haha, although If i were truly Dutch I'd also be able to speak some German... And hahahaha yes cows are always tired :P spot on. And thanks :)
Yes it definitely does :D I'm pretty sure it's written the same way. When I was in South Africa It felt amazing that I could understand some words in a country so far from home. :) Thanks for watching :)
very impressive that you could actually manage that, i know a half dozen words in a couple of different languages but not fluent in any, doing this surely will help you get there, you also need cycle gloves riding in such cold weather
