Lifeforms as far as I am concerned was the most forward and brilliant album of the 90's IDM era. Nothing comes close to the sheer breadth of textures, beats, noise and soundscapes and ultimately the sonic WORLD these two created in that album.

In a relatively recent mini-doc about Tibet's first gallery show in the US, the main take aways I got from Tibet's world philosophy is that he thinks of himself as "nobody / no body". And that ultimately he, and I quote, "hasn't got a fucking clue". When you go far enough into yourself, this is what you realise. By this vein, Current 93 and Tibet's entire work output is anti-pretentious.
His intense arrogance is so loveable... But even better is how much he was OBVIOUSLY right! And so obviously right that everything he produced came to pass. 100% of it. He's a genuine genius, genuinely arrogant, and genuinely correct.
The arrogant virtuoso :) The same was said of Eric Clapton and Cream in the 1060s. It is all part of the creative flow and expression that manifests in artistic creation at it's best.
Good advice Dave. Next time I meet a person who's just come off a 12 hour shift in a nursing home, I'll give them a good kicking and tell them to fucking wake up and listen to some different music. Lol.
