Betty: “…want my kind of smoke? Never mind….” 😮😂 Thank you for your dedication to your craft and for making all of your amazing recordings, Betty! The live musical record you have created is an incredible boon to lovers of music everywhere for all time!❤❤❤❤❤
I met Betty many years ago in Boston. I had tickets to the Jerry/John Kahn and Bob/Rob Wasserman show. When we got to the venue a soundboard and other equipment was occupying our seats. The ushers tried move us to the very back. Betty came over. We said the equipment occupied our seats. She made sure we got good seats near our original seats. I lit up a pipe. An usher demanded I hand over the pipe. A few minutes later Betty came over. Asked if the usher had taken something from me. I described the pipe. A few minutes later the usher returned the pipe snd apologized. Betty was dressed in an Irish cable knit sweater,a plaid skirt and beautiful loafers. Very Boston preppy attire. Pure class. A genuine Lady.
I can only imagine how some guys gave you grief. Thank you for your perseverance. I love your work. Exactly perfect levels.❤😊 Yo, the crowd moved the monitors??? 😮Pranksters.😅
"Mime Talk"..? Seriously? So good to finally see an interview with the (more or less) unsung legend BCJ. Almost outshines the gimmick of a mime doing an interview, almost- the cut from the classically hated generic mime-face to the completely sincere, no bullshit weathered and road tested Betty is jarring, to say the least. But this is too good to not enjoy.
I saw so many shows at Winterland and stood within five feet of Betty behind the board. I didn't like to be crammed up front and much preferred standing right in front of the soundboard.
@@godfreydaniel6278 One would think, right? But, there were only a few of us who made our way to that spot once the doors opened. Most of the early arrivals wanted to be right up front whether they were crushed or not. I think that I recognize you from TGP.
I generally hung at the Winterland shows a little in front of the board corral and over to the right a bit - people who hung with us knew to look for us in that neighborhood - and we for them...@@cosmonaut9942
