Welcome to my ham radio youtube page. This page is all about what ham radio is and how to get involved. I will also post reviews of radios and other things here. Please enjoy.
If you wanted the short version, without music, etc, you should have looked it up yourself and reviewed the same chart he’s explaining with a simple google search. That would have given you the quickest result.

did you get permission from @tanknation1000 to attach parts of his copyrighted video footage to your video? Or did you just add it like you added my copyrighted photo to your video without my permission first?
Ya know Jimmy in the Facebook group I have to be nice. On my own fucking youtube page I don't. First off who the fuck needs permission from you to do anything? I sure as fuck don't. Secondly it's called Fair Use. If you could actually read you would know what that was. Third it's sad that you have become such a pathetic self-loathing man that you feel the need to cry and make your problems everybody else's problem every time you turn around. Just because you are miserable in your own life doesn't mean we all have to be. This also doesn't mean we have to indulge you. Fourth everybody knows how two faced you are. When people see me they know what they are getting. You wrap yourself around your phony Christianity and stab somebody in the back while smiling to their face then play the victim. Maybe one day you'll grow some balls and learn how to just say what you think publicly instead of hiding in person while throwing rocks online. Fifth I actually feel sorry for you. I genuinely do. I used to consider you a friend of mine until you started your shit. Hell I not only considered you a friend at one point but I considered you an asset to the local ham community. I actually admired and respected you. We lose track for a few years when I moved to Florida and then all of a sudden when I moved back to Mississippi you seem to have developed a hard on for me for some reason. If it's psychological might I suggest you get help. If you're jealous of me in some way I don't give a shit. Get over yourself I promise you life isn't that bad. I'm sure you'll cry to somebody about what I'm posting but the fact is you asked for this and now you got it. Have a good day.
One minute and 43 seconds of intro music and extra info. W5BLX, do you want your channel to grow with a large audience? Then please, do not make your followers wait with such long intros and so much extra music. People are following those who can get to the point of their presentation quickly avoiding all extra nonsense talking.
$22.00 radio. You bet. She is built tough. And I bagged it and added extra batteries , a B.f.o. the got a gator clip and 10' of wire. It's a unbeatable rig . .de kv4li. 73
Really impressed 👏 👌 with the operating skills of net control OP especially how he handled literally hundreds of check ins piling up on the repeater like that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your problem is the power adapter. I generates too much noise or just bring in the noise from the AC line. I recorded a video in battery mode, same radio: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vhwONJ4t6bs.html
A note about the Beat Cut function: When you record from radio and the tape erasing function ( the erasing or pre-magnetizing oscillator)causing some whistle or interference, you may can eliminate the interfrence by this switch.
I like this model. Nice size, not too heavy, not too large. I owned several pieces before. DX390 is similar but without tape deck. Equaly good quality both models the DX392 and DX390. In that time when I had two-three of this models, I noticed some sensitivity difference. With a brand new battery the sensitivity is better. With adapter, every radio picks up more noise, so I am listeing shortwave in battery mode.
Thank you for this nice video! I have more videos about similar models- mostly at least one shortwave band capable receivers with BFO or without BFO. Shortwave is my hobby since 1960's years but I am not HAM , just love the radios. You can find my videos of the radios what I owned/repaired: www.youtube.com/@imreolajossr6355/videos
Late 80s 1987 i had mine when i was a kid got it for Christmas brand new. I still have it. Thiers other models i have check my channel them radios are on thier📻👍💯
Dude I just tried it on 6.030 Radio Havana Cuba and omg with the antenna retracted sitting on my desk it was almost as clear as my FT-897 with my OCF dipole at 30'
Have heard much worse. That is not so bad at all. I used to hear a guy who sounded real drunk that would get on a repeater and no one would come back so he would hold a conversation with himself. This guy is just not a professional announcer.
You really need the long line for shortwave, but it still does well as it comes, i think. I was lucky and picked mine up for 12 bucks two or three years ago on Ebay. It has raised up since, but still a good receiving radio.
