I'm saying it. Celia Cruz move over. The new Queen of salsa gorda is Cita Rodriguez. I just saw her on 112th St. She sang to all of us from her heart. I saw Celia Cruz dozens of times over the yrs. Cita has developed herself through formal musical training and sang coro with Pete for yrs. No matter what you say, there will always be someone to replace icons. Cita's time is right now. Support her and forget all the Celia Cruz hype. It's 2024 and Puerto Rico's Cita Rodriguez is on top. Dios la bendiga y su padre en el cielo.
