Depression anxiety I drank to get a few hours peace turned into a horrible cycle I stopped 7 years ago I am now leading a normal life you take care stay strong anyone can stop alcohol you have to be 100 per cent determined it gets better
Fair play for not hiding it. It means you're facing it head on and holding yourself to account, which is all you can do. Sorry for your losses. Keep on keeping on, you can do it 👌
Seems like we are both still here thanks to our amazing crew we have at the NHS. People slate off the NHS and i dunno about you but i simply would not be here to type this message if it wasnt for them. :-) We're still standing :-)
Congrats and happy for your sobriety and your future wedding. May I ask how I would go about training in alcohol addiction for future job opportunities? Still in detox but feeling fantastic. I feel a changed man tbh. I'm looking forward to the future now; it used to be just dread for each day. depressed and hopeless. Funny how alcohol can destroy our spirit and zest for living. I detest the drug but respect those that still can have a few. I personally would like to see plain cans with Ethanol written on them. Or at least warnings. I don't want to become that zealous anti booze person. I just want to be better for me and those around me. Thank you, and it's great to hear you're doing well and enjoying your sobriety. Stay strong. You should be able to go through your nhs for working in detox, etc, start volunteering around 5 to 6 months, they won't take you on until dry for that long.... that's so true about companies, if anything, they encourage it by putting daily recommended amounts, etc. I'm the same regarding others drinking it's up to them, but something needs to change about advertising it the way they do.
It's great to hear you're doing well.the app is called I am sober, and to help me, I go AA twice a week but when I came out of detox I had 12 week program though something called Achieve part of greater Manchester Mental health but all places have something similar. Have a word with detox team they should be able to guide you. Keep it going and stay strong it's worth it.
I am trying to cut down.. I am now 3 days a week. After 7pm. In my limits. That is new! That only happened this year. Thanks for making me laff and make me think 👍🏻
Did you use librium? I really didn't like it so I switched to something else. My drinking was evening too....normally mixed with sleeping pills. I'm in detox now. I have anti craving meds too...do they help you? I still think a little about the high I got from alcohol but I remember the awful crushing depression with it

@@Lifestyle.123choices strange cause Librium works for some; for me I don’t think my alcoholism was severe enough. Although binges and moderation were a constant theme for years. Therapy helps me. I’m a medical cannabis patient now so I believe that there’s different ways recovery and mental health. Keep posting mate as your videos are really uplifting. Just some cooking, recovery vids, routine would help
@vacher45 💯 you have to do what's best for yourself. The end result is what counts . The librium is to help prevent seizures. That's why you only have that for 3 days when you finish the detox they should offer you antabuse etc to help you.
@@Lifestyle.123choices yes first day wasn’t good for me; emotional blunting and felt zombie like. Getting on Campral after for the cravings and balancing the GABA since my brain has been through the mill.
I used to be a heroin and crack addict. I stopped that stuff and substituted with drink. Drink caused me more problems than drugs ever did. With heroin the only problem you have is getting some to stop you feeling ill. With drink I acted like an absolute 🔔end I’m lucky I’ve still got friends. Also alcohol withdrawal is more dangerous than a heroin withdrawal.
Some people don't believe me when I tell them Alcohol can kill them from withdrawals. It's great to hear you got yourself sorted out. Best wishes to you.
@@Lifestyle.123choices Yeah it can cause you to have seizures a doctor or a quick google search will tell them that. Also I think it’s worth mentioning that one of my mates was still drinking I have never seen him drink anything other than alcohol. I went to the hospital with him for a bit of support whilst he had a blood test to check his liver. We both caught covid whilst at the hospital. I had a banging headache for a week but apart from that I was fine. Whilst my mate died 2 weeks later. You don’t have to be a doctor to figure out that the alcohol had made his immune system non existent. Thanks for the nice comment. There just becomes a point where you get fed up and I’m so grateful I managed to stop when I know others that couldn’t or didn’t want to. I find it crazy that alcohol gets a pass but cannabis doesn’t. I don’t smoke weed but with weed there is no violence or hang over the next day and it helps people with certain medical conditions.

I'm sorry to hear about your mate. My brother was 35 when he passed from substance misuse. Yes, it's crazy they say if alcohol was a new thing, it would be band.

Definitely, I wish someone educated me at a younger age. Unfortunately, though, this channel is set for over 18s only, so no children that age should see this unless their parents allow it.....

The wind moves the blades, the blade has a motor of some sort connected to it winding it up and creating electricity, the best I could explain for someone with not even a BTEC in sight 🫡
So would it not be better to have smaller, lighter flatter blades that spin at greater rpm? Why such a big pathetic structure that needs so much wind to turn?

It's all about you cupcake! lol Actually ... go on and put the toothbrush on the other side of the pack so that it is against the mirror. Now the mirror 'knows' about it, but it is not visible to you, either in real or in the mirror ..... ooohhhhh spooky .... :-)
