When i started watching your video and you described the symptoms, i remembered i had a similar problem with an impreza i had years ago and i searched for ages to try and fix it and it was a hose that had a hidden split in it. Then, you showed your induction hose had a split in it, definitely change that and look for other splits. I also changed my MAF thinking it was that, but it didnt solve it until i found the split. Good luck!
Common for Toyota's to run a waste-spark setup, so two coils for a 4 cylinder, 3 for a 6 cylinder, etc. Coil packs on old Toyota's are common failure point. I have a 1G-GZE engine that would not boost and ran rich, but would idle beautifully. After replacing every sensor on the engine, I found the problem was the spark leaking out through the tubes to the spark plugs and shorting to the cylinder head, whenever the revs increased. New coil packs and spark plug leads and tubes fixed it.
Need to smoke test the inlet for leaks I think. Need genuine maf ideally. Toyota quite sensitive to cheap shite. Can’t you take to a specialist tuning shop for some proper diag? Must be quite a few in Japan?
You said "no music videos" and then at 09:26 dropped such a banger that I can not go to sleep now. I am over 30, you simply don't to this to old people like that.

For foreigners visiting Japan and trying to come to Daikoku. As a Japanese here’s my tips 1. It is supposed to be a resting service parking area for regular cars and trucks. We just “happened” to meet here. It is not a car meeting park. 2. I’ve seen many tourists taking taxis to come here. Please don’t, rent a car please. 3. I know you get excited watching cool JDM cars, bur please dont block the road. 4. Please don’t touch our cars, I’ve seen many tourits leaning on and getting into trouble with the owner. Many just give up arguing because you guys don’t uderstand Japanese. 5. Be polite, ask the owner before photograph at least. Obey Japanese laws, police, and especially the car culture. POLICE COME HERE because some are making a scence. Just act normal and don’t do stupid things. I’ve seen stupid white guy riding a skateboard at Daikoku. That is idiotic and unsafe. Dont be that guy. 6. Don’t DM local Japnese car enthusiasts to take you to Daikoku. That is just so weird. We aren’t friends. Thanks <3 and enjoy your trip.
100% this. One of the reasons Japan has such a well tolerated car scene is knowing the value of being respectful and (relatively) under-the-radar. It's a shame when people from outside don't respect the culture they are in, and overdo things, leaving the authorities no choice but to intervene.
