I'm not a Potter enthusiast but did visit this place today and I really enjoyed my time there. Great part of New Zealand history, preserved etc. Well worth the visit. The curator was very knowledgeable and helpful
Why is it always people of ngati porou in your ads that speed and nearly kill them self and yous film them and recreate there marks in all the ads not one person thanks God they are a live and all waka ko tahi ads are like jokes and are very dumb and stupid the road aint a joke yous put at least 20 ads of ngati porou people who put other peoples lives in danger and tgey laugh and say im lucky to be alive ngati porou must have higest risk rates of drunk dumb stupid people
brake nz unhappy about sped limits, how about teaching kids that their safety is their responsibility, this is for life. HOW HARD is it to train kids to stop, look and listen, Teach them that a vehicle must be at a distance be fore using a crossing, ALLWAYS look round a bus before stepping on the road, take them on the road on bikes and make them aware of traffic, NOT use the footpath, lazy parenting, same with caged tramps, lazy parenting, cannot be bothered to teach safety. so much easier to blame some one else. they will grow up with an entitled attitude and get hurt, it is happening on schools now. NOT doing your kids any favours.

I had almost lost faith in the Agency completely after waiting 3 months for my paper work for a certified towbar, and I see you didnt update your database when I had my truck re weighed for the tare weight. BUT THIS IS GREAT!, useful, informative and real. Hopefully this represents a new attitude and direction towards helping rebuild the NZ Transport industry which has been absolutely smashed into the ground with overbearing, incompetent beauracracy, over tax and over regulation to the point of outright insanity. I wonder why all driving tests are so difficult to understand if government wants all to understand it easily to follow rules, why they dont want you to travel or touch a car you bought after spending thousands of dollars??
We travelled the new road first time in February in our motorhome..... never again the first hill is so steep and long our Toyota coaster motorhome was very hot by the time we got to the top and crawled up in 2nd gear .... no way we will ever use it again
You do realise if someone doesn't move left, it's legal to, pass them on the left. i'e if they are in the right lane doing 80 and I'm in the left lane doing 100 I am permitted to sail straight past them. Been there done it.
We need to do more to educate people on this! Nothing more frustrating than a huge line of traffic with some numbskull sitting in the right hand lane doing 95kph. Back in the day people new this and kept left to let other traffic flow past. Now it seems every daydreaming driver joins the motorway, moves straight to the outside lane and just sits there!
This almost seems comical? What is this rubbish, and who are the mentally challenged people you are in almost nonchalant in attempting to "get one over on" per se !!!??? How are we seriously taking this as acceptable??
Waikato Expressway upgrade to Waikato Motorway? Beautiful road! When will they remove the 11 at grade access points between Mill Road (Bombay Interchange) to the Hampton Downs Interchange? When or if they do, that will be the final thing needed to upgrade the legal status of the ENTIRE Waikato Expressway to the Waikato Motorway! In order for that to be done though would cost probably $100 million to a quarter million to build some grade separated interchanges in place of the at grade access points and some lengths of parallel frontage roads to provide for property owners who used to have direct access to the expressway at the at grade access points! Then it would be totally safe to increase the speed limit to 120 or 130 Km/h. In line with the equivalent type of road way and similar speed limits in North AMERICA and European countries! It’s obvious the section of road from Hampton Downs south to the end at Cambridge is a safe design engineered road to handle 140km/h maximum like many freeways in North AMERICA and European countries! 130 or 120 would be conservative. Ohh one other thing for legal status requirement to upgrade to motorway standard is to get rid of cyclists and pedestrians.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇳🇿
I was quite young, maybe at intermediate school when that stupid rule of giving way to right turning traffic if you are turning left, came into effect. I remember it well the reason they said it had been introduced, "To promote traffic flow" was the excuse given for the dumbest rule ever and everyone complained about it how cars piled up behind them when they were turning left because they had to give way to those turning right, until some at least figured out that they had to judge if the vehicle behind them could get past them negating the need to give way to the right turning vehicle with some mixed resulting confusion and near misses of who had thought the situation ahead the most intelligently. So before that dumb rule existed we had traffic rules exactly as they are after 2012, back to NORMAL, and one would wonder what the hell was it all about, what over paid dummy sat in an office and decided to screw things up and leave it that way for several decades. My guess is that the man responsible had to grow old enough that he couldn't be recognised anymore due to rule reversal embarrassment. Oh yeah, and the DHs took my NZ lifetime licence off me when I finally got back from Australia.
