We live in Virginia. Currently we do not have anything set up for shipping, but as we grow our apiary that is a consideration we will be looking into more.
Does the extractor make it so the bees can re-use the wax already there? Im helping my friend with bee keeping, they're getting a hive at some point but at waiting till they're completely ready, this process is so cool!
Yes the frames will go back into the bee hives and the bees will clean the comb and repair any damage and then reuse it. Much less work for them than making new comb
@@jayfreeze2848 centrifugal force definitely makes the process a lot faster. You could turn the frame upside down once it is decapped, but I don’t know anyone who has the time to do it that way.
We had House Finches that made a nest in one of our hanging flower baskets. A Cowbird laid an egg in there and I took it out so the baby Finches would survive.
Nope! Don't interfere with nature. Not only does this arbitrarily alter the populations of native species, but it prevents natural selection from taking place. When natural selection happens, the birds that recognize nest parasites are more successful, and those that don't won't pass on their genes. For instance, these birds have built their nest in a poor location - it isn't well concealed, and it's in a berry bush that will attract attention from all sorts of predators and parasites. This is the way nature always has worked, and always will. Want to help birds? Focus on what humans do to bird populations. Habitat destruction, pollution, and deaths caused by invasive species, window strikes, and vehicles cause real harm to native birds.
❤❤😮❤❤ Lovely broccoli 🥦 😋 looks absolutely delicious dear. Grest job. Wow they are HUGE. definitely bigger AND better than anything u will find in a grocery store 4 sure!!!l o 999999⁹⁹❤❤❤❤❤
I've grown brocolli the past 3 years. I harvest the leaves before and after taking the initial crown, can cook up like spinach or collards . I also got tons of small brocolini off-shoots after harvesting the initial crown. never had a whole second head/crown pop up though.
I am not blaming everything on Biden. I have been hearing that line about “it takes a while for laws to change any sort of effect” for years. It is nothing more than a talking point for whichever party is in power and is struggling to show any positive results for their policies. The political process takes a while (3 months to a year when a party has enough votes to pass whatever they want to pass) to write, edit and pass legislation. One legislation is passed it already starts to effect change as every business needs to figure out what the law means and specifically how it affects their business. The executive orders to cut US production and end the pipeline from Canada on day one of Biden’s term had the effect of increased gas prices. We saw the effect of increased gas prices and government spending with a spike in inflation in the two years after that. We are starting to see the true effects of the major increase in minimum wage right now as several major corporations are fighting to keep from going out of business. (Red lobster, and in some states McDonalds to name two). The immediate reaction to the minimum wage increase was for companies to cut worker, just like the immediate reaction to Obama care was to make low wage earners part time. Legislative actions have both an immediate effect and a longer term effect. The longer you follow politics and actually look at the evidence the less you will accept party narratives and figure out the truth, which is usually somewhere in between.
Inflation was controlled by the Trump administration. It was low until Covid started, but the USA’s inflation rate through the Trump year of COVID was lower than most countries. Once Congress’s spending after Biden took office was the main cause of the high inflation. Gas prices started rising as a result of democrat policies to discourage America production of oil, it then spiked when the Ukraine War started and Russia raised their prices to offset the sanctions the US put against them, and Biden had already used the national reserve to artificially keep prices down after his policies had raised them.
I cannot speak to every corporation, but I can speak to farming. Cost to grow food have more than doubled, and I suspect the cost to transport that food to the processing plants have more than doubled as they need to buy the food from the farmers for more and then still pay higher prices for gas. Once it gets to the processing plant the plant has to pay a higher price for the increase in production and transportation cost, and they will also need to pay a higher prices for their workers as the minimum wage was increased by Biden as well. It is a wonder that food prices have only gone up 5 times what they used to be. I can tell you this no farmer is making 5 times what they used to make, but they still need to provide for their families. Therefore just a basic understanding of what happens to get food on your table will tell you there is no corporate greed from the farm to the grocery store. I suspect what is true for farming is true across most industries only industries where corporate greed might be legitimate would be industries like Hollywood where people are paid multimillions to look good and say lines. The only industry I see as profiting from what we are living through right now is the government. Governmental spending is probably your best evidence of corporate greed in America today. It would be nice to live in lala-land, but God has me living in America. God is providing for our family of seven so we are doing fine, but I am tired of seeing so many of our friends struggling just to put food on their tables. I know the USA is not as bad as Canada (where I grew up) as many have to visit food kitchens to eat (up to 2 out of every 15 Canadian). Liberal policies (extreme environmentalism, increased Governmental control, increased taxes to pay for that control, and the persecution of those who speak out against the government’s corruption) are destroying the countries that follow them.
Look. I identify as independent, have never voted red out of disgust for their social policies. And yet. All of this yapping about how good the economy is right now? How people just aren’t thinking right? It’s all BS. Biden could’ve done a lot more than he has. He just doesn’t care. The facade of kindly, empathetic old man has been stripped away. He doesn’t care about anything but getting re-elected. He could have set his administration on the companies for price gouging. He didn’t. He could have actually met any of the promises he made when I voted for him. He didn’t.
You cannot double basic costs (for a farmer that is fuel and animal feed) and then blame higher costs of food on corporate greed. The farmer has two options either sell their products for more to cover the cost or find another line of work (meaning less food is produced and therefore higher food prices).
But the Biden admin says we're doing great because he has turned the economy around! Apparently we're all making sooo much more money than we ever had but simply don't understand economics 😂 What we used to pay for a regular shopping cart full of groceries we now only get one of those mini carts full.
Yep even if we made twice as much money as we used to make (which I do not know anyone who has doubled their salary in the last four years) we are struggling more, because necessities are now five times what they were before.
So this butterfly is not native to North America. It was accidentally introduced from Europe and North Africa. Since arriving in North America it has become one of the most common butterfly species (out competing the 58 native butterfly types that caterpillars also eat similar plants) The butterfly is harmless to my garden, but its caterpillars (also known as the Cabbage worm) is very destructive to the plants. If I was to transplant the leaves with the egg on it that would probably be crueler to the caterpillars as they would die of starvation after finishing off the piece of leaf they were on. Furthermore I would not have much of my vegetables left in the two hours I was out working my garden I saw two of these butterflies visiting my broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and kale patch. Each butterflies probably laid over thirty eggs each scattered over many leaves. If I cut the eggs off the plants I would limit the plants ability to produce. Both of the two butterflies I saw flew off through our fields and forests on our property. My guess is they also laid eggs on various types of wild mustard we have growing around our property. Killing the eggs laid on our vegetables will not hurt this butterflies population levels as they will be laying eggs all the way into the fall, and have many wild plants their caterpillars can and will eat. I usually will not use chemicals for pests control in my garden but there are a few species of pests that can cause serious issues so I will treat for those if I see an outbreak or an outbreak about to happen…
Wow, I wish our Eastern brown snakes smelled differently, I might not have stood on him a couple of weeks ago. 🤣 I was lucky, it was a dry bite and only just nailed me, it's still a bit ulcerated, but I'm not dead.
