I really don't know but rule say this ,,,21.10 Ball bouncing over head height of striker The umpire shall call and signal No ball for any delivery which, after pitching, passes or would have passed over head height of the striker standing upright at the popping crease.
Back then it is not out coz ball bounced and was above his shoulder. Now it is out, coz this ball would have been given a wide ball for height ( and not a no ball) . And once you hit a wide you know its a legal ball .
Hi Aman - Coming out of crease is not relevant here. Rule is had he been standing tall in the crease, where would have that ball gone. (So its Umpire's call)
Point I was try to make here was: When batsman come down the track. And rule states if batsman would be standing straight within his crease, where would have ball past him. Above head or not
U R Idiot-According to MCC law Bouncer above head height is a No Ball whether batsman hit the ball or not. But according to ICC law If batsman hit the ball with bat than it is a legal ball if left the ball then it is wide
