My dad had one of these when I was a kid. So many of these have been ragged out. It's cool to see such a nice example that really captures what a cool and advanced car this was for the time. I remember when my dad brought it home in '86. It was night, and the first thing I said was that it looked like an airplane cockpit, with all the buttons and the check lights on the roof. WHAT is it with these MEANINGLESS test drives without any comments or analyses on performance, handling, driving??? Pointless, a waste of everybody’s time but most of all: MISSED opportunity 👎🏻😖
Few know the hidden magic of the 300SE with the 3 litre straight 6, aluminum block, the crazy expensive rebuild cost, air suspension, chrome around windows, side and wheel openings.. I have since I was a kid. Only rode in a '67 300SE.
