This is his best riff work to date. Absolutely savage. I picked up a digital copy from the Ytene BC page and have been listening to this on repeat as I wait for my CD to arrive, whenever that will be (Australia to Alaska, after all). Since 'Folklore...' was my #1 album last year, it certainly stands to reason that this could repeat that for this year. A truly glorious album!
Dude. Is this guy even rest? He is making album by album and i'm so happy, i can literally listen to almost any of his albums on repeat for a couple of days and i won't get boring.
Instant crush for this crazy sumptuous album, like a rare and forgotten gem from who knows when. Witchy trippy music, like listening to a folky Gang Gang Dance seizing the aesthetics and themes of Angelblood, or Joanna Newsome in the middle of a goth jam with Cromagnon, or the Cocteau Twins in a pagan trip in the forests of Wyrd Albion. Just the perfect soundtrack for psychedelic autumnal forest walks at midnight, sexual magic and Samain rituals (or more simply : perfect soundtrack).
This stirred up something within me that I thought was lost. Dormant emotions from a bygone time. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere all-around, really good music for these trying times we all live in. Hope more like this will spawn in time.
@@skrolger69 Can definitely relate mate. Highly recommend Brugmansia in Excelsis then if you havent. Different, but somewhat reminiscent atmosphere, features the vocalist and dual zither player of Tristwch y fenywod
