The Jack Kirby Museum and Research Center is organized exclusively for educational purposes; more specifically, to promote and encourage the study, understanding, preservation and appreciation of the work of Jack Kirby by:
• illustrating the scope of Kirby’s multi-faceted career, • communicating the stories, inspirations and influences of Jack Kirby, • celebrating the life of Jack Kirby and his creations, and • building understanding of comicbooks and comicbook creators.
Without his art there would be no marvel. End of story he kept that train rolling when they were carrying the furniture out... Stan Lee was a good con man jack was the visionary. What characters did Stan create without jack?
The Problem here is that Rand's mug- taco meat an all, is blocking the exhibit! Telling us about _"Kirby Crackle"_ yet not showing it! Then its _"illustrative layering"_ that were supposed to somehow see A smidge of ?? At an angled distant, all while looking at it (again) over Rand's shoulder... > Talking about _"Cool Giant Comic books,"_ but instead of showing us an up-close page or two; we instead get to look at some women- who's apparently looking at the Giant 3D comic (SMH).. Next we get to look at Rand (again) while he's looking at the feature. Insted of just showing us the feature. What is going on here? This You Tube video is so badly directed, its embarassing!
Fantastic tour. The owner and the woman really tell you about the FUN of the place; how other fans in honor of Kirby have tried doing their own artwork and contributed. The original black and white designs of his art....WOW.
WOWWW...!! What a place. Hey, I want to go! Man, I got to see this place. Never heard about this museum before. Shame there isn't a museum of other great Marvel artists, like Neil Adams and Jim Starlin.
Opening scene? Does somebody know? In the screen on our rt there is a spectacle wearing gentleman in a ball cap that appears to be painting. Is that who I think it is? Even if it isn't NEVER FORGET. NEVER LET THEM.
I met Jack at his booth at his final 1993 Comiccon appearance. It was so surreal to shake his hand and take a photo with him. Just as nice and friendly as I always imagined him to be.
Would to throw my 3D glasses on and fly overseas to see Captain 3D all up close, blown up, and personal like ! I'll also have to share this video with others !!
Jack Kirby, a true artistic legend of the comic book industry. His originality has so influenced the wonderful comic artists that have come after him. Great tribute.
This looks like an incredible undertaking! It makes me want to get a plane ticket. Any chance you will bring this exhibition back to NYC? (I know it's very unlikely but I had to ask)
Great! A new video! WOW, THIS is actually happening! Kirbyvision! Jack was the embodiment of untamed creativity that knew no bounds. This all looks wonderful!
