@@thewetshaveexperience6988 must've been a recent addition. When you purchase direct from Aylsworth you can choose a standard base plate (.7mm gap/.05mm exposure) or plus plate (.99mm gap/.125 exposure).
@@MrEunderwood I just looked. Mine has a + on the bottom so I assume that’s the plus plate. I can’t remember when I ordered it there being a plate option. I may have to try the other plate. I’m guessing it will be a little less efficient though.
Great shave Brian and i have both Musashi and Kensei and to my nose the soap is the same but the splash u definitely get the blood orange in Kensei. Also my favorite tea scent if u havent tried it is Shannons Soaps British Tradition great scent
Great to hear you replaced your phone mount, it was a bit of comedy of flying camera in the last video😅 I think the lighting looks good with or without (last video) the back light. Cannot go wrong with the GoatLander and that Nickel plated one looks awesome, agree tapered corners would make it even better. I haven't face lathered for 4 years, so I lean more towards soft synthetic knots although I have Boar and Badger brushes that I enjoy as well. Take care brother👌🤠👌
That was a funny video! Thanks for the feedback on the lighting. The Goatlander in the nickel finish is spectacular. RE did a great job with it. I do find myself leaning towards the synthetic brushes. Especially the Trotter ones I have with the Muhle STF knots. Those knots are amazing.
The lighting is fine. Kensei is pronounced "ken" with the same ending as sensei "say"... so it's "ken" "say". Japanese, like German is strictly phonetic. But, they use vowel and consonant combinations. Their vowels are ah, eh, uh, eh, oh. So the S vowel combinations are sa, seh, suh, seh, soh, roughly. The overlander is a very tempting offering as a daily driver. What blade are you using? I am surprised that you call this one of your most efficient razors. Most regard the Overlander as a mid aggression razor.
Thank you for the pronunciation info. I would agree that the Overlander is not an aggressive razor in terms of blade feel. However, I still do find it very efficient even though it’s not aggressive.
Great video! Those 3 musashi flankers are definitely redundant to own, I would definitely go with Kensei if need 1. You’re definitely not missing out on the noble otter release, it’s a light tea scent, nothing special compared to other tea offerings you already have.
